Bet Royal - question for bigger $$ players who have used them

Would you agree/disagree with this comment I just heard: they have reasonable betting limits under normal circumstances, but the limits are quite low for games which are circled - and they circle way more games than most books.

If you are a bigger player, I would recomend that you don't use Royal because it can be very frustrating.

Thanks. Yeah, that's the impression I got from the conversation that prompted this thread. My contact was saying he attempted about 10 bets (NBA, NCAAB, boxing) there over the weekend - and they accepted exactly 1 due to events being circled.

He said he had an NBA ML bet denied with a "to win" of $180 !!!

This guy has been known to exaggerate (What? A gambler who exaggerates?) but this isn't the typical sort of thing to tell fish tales about. I think it must be close to the truth.

Royal was moving close to the top of my list of new books to try but that does sound extremely frustrating.

Many agendas out there Groucho.. my advice would be to call Richard at Royal and speak to him personally. He is accessible and tells it like it is, anyone that has dealt with him can attest to that.

Royal definitely circles more games than anyone else I know. But when the games aren't circled, you can bet 3 dimes which is more than most other books will take online.

Richard might be a nice guy, but that doesn't mean **** if they don't have the $.

If you decide to use them Groucho, by all means secure your account through OGD. You might want to check the maximum secured amount (don't know if there is a max)

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I haven't encountered a circled game yet at BetRoyal.

People seem to think they don't like sharp action, but that's not true.
