No more unders, OT kills. If I like under I'll bet it in H1, or Q3. I'll make a possible exception for games that have little chance of OT, or a huge lead by fav at half. NO/ LAC going OT has me pissed.

On totals I want overs/ not unders, at least 3:1. OT , I estimate at 10% of games. Hard to cover an under with an OT.

I'm not totally done yet, not absolute. Teams like Det, Hous, NJ meeting may put me on some unders, but I'm leaning to the squarish overs.

I'm sorry to say this but the NBA IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Just play college hoops. CBB ain't easy by any stretch but is definitely more predictable.

I'm saying this from experience. I had a good NBA season four years ago but ever since then been going down the toilet. The NBA is filled with a bunch of losers who cannot be trusted to play 100% every night thus all your capping also goes into the toilet.

DOUG:

did you have the NO/clippers Under 176? FYI:

John Patrick released the Over, espousing the theorem that sometimes when there's two lousy, non-dominating teams with no succesful style of play to impose on their foe... it becomes a sloppy, wide-open, playground-type game.

After about 3 minutes of the 4th period things looked kind of hopeless for the Over, but I still hoped for a lot of late fouling & overtime, since the score was fairly close.

Heck, the basketball gods owed me this one after losing an Under late in the second overtime, earlier this season.

All the best to you.

Why not restrict your UNDER bets to games with a very strong favorite, in which overtime is very very unlikely?

The Nba is a complete joke.

It should tell you something when NO major network is televising the NBA.

The players are primadonnas, and should all be fired. Maybe a handful play with heart.

Doug,
Sorry to hear your frustration, which is understandable, considering the amount of time you have put in. This sort of thing happens to everyone who gambles and has happened to me this year in NFL. Because of the hard work one puts in, its easy to blame any outside forces for the losses but this would be a mistake.

If all things in sports stayed the same then everybody would win, it is the constant change that gives certain people the edge. As far as the NBA is concerned, it is just another medium for gambling. I read some Weeks ago on another Forum that there was even a conspiracy to score more points. Regardless of what happens in any sport, you can be assured the Bookmakers will act accordingly. It will not take long for the lines to be adjusted and in no time, people will be complaining of the opposite.

I dont profess to be a so called sharp and I am certainly not as quick-thinking as my early days, but a lot of water has gone under the bridge and I can assure you, its all been around before. Instead of being King Canute fighting the Tide, go with the flow and beat the Books at their own game. Thats always been the battle.

Best of Luck :drink:
