How could you bet this ? Not hardly guaranteed of winning division, Boston could sneak in, then maybe not even wildcard, I'll give them about 95 % chance of being a play-off team.

Even so you tie-up money for 10 months. They need to win 3 series. Even at -300 in each series, that should pay +137. Winning AL pennant is even worse at -185. This before they even have Randy, or Beltran signed !

I wouldn't take that at +200. Who bets this ? Odds are Oly.

You'd have to be on some pretty nasty crack rock to bet this. They aren't any better than last year -- maybe a little worse now that El Duque is gone.

Pavano doesn't strike me as Bronx material -- but then again neither did fatass Wells at first.

Lander: Yanks are good, but not that good. Pavano being local boy helps. I don't see a regular position guy everyday player at 1st or 2nd base. I think they are fine at catcher, SS, 3B, and LF. Bernie in center is older, and Shef in right may break down.

Sign Johnson and Beltran, that helps. They don't deserve this price on futures.

Once 8 play-off teams are set, I believe you get better than +125 on Yanks. I wouldn't take +300 on them now.

At some point I would take them, haven't set a number. +1000 , sure I'd bet them, +500 maybe. +125, no way.

My basic theme was NYY were way over-rated ! Id retract that statement about 95 PERCENTCHANCE, if I could. It was early, but still pretty spot-on. I made good call, I think ! I can't every detail correct. The basis is NYY future was awful bet.

Nyy are a mess now ! The 2B guy plays LF, TO Get`rid of B williams, Matsui to CF. Minor league guys are starting pitchers. Kevin Brown couldn't get me out !, it's pathetic ! I think I called it nicely.

Not to jump in and correct mistakes, but you are mixing up your New york teams when you have mentioned Beltran being a Yankee?

Either way, these are pathetic odds and i had to go check just to see if they were real. Yes the yankees do have the most talented players in the league, but they are not the best TEAM. ... . Yet. If they are able to gel. . .then they very easily could win the World Series. They still do IMO have the most feared lineup in baseball, although I would have to say Baltimore comes in a close 2nd.
