ORLANDO, Fla. - Officials from Florida Citrus Sports and ClickandPark.com
announced today that all parking lots around the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium
have been sold out for the Capital One Bowl. The game is scheduled to
kickoff at 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Jan. 1, 2005.

For fans' convenience, shuttle busses will be running from the TD Waterhouse
Centre and Downtown Orlando. There is a $5 charge to park at shuttle lots
and downtown parking garages on game day and the round trip shuttle service
is free. Lots open at 9 a.m. and the free shuttle service begins at 10 a.m.

Estimated prediction by Capital One Bowl officials is that they are expecting as many as 35,000 Iowa fans to be in attendance.

This is going to impose a problem for our personal tailgate party and the alcoholic beverages that i was planning on bringing to the parking lot.

I think we should all meet somewhere at a downtown bar at around 830 am and then take the shuttle.

I can swing it to where we can find a way to get into the Hawkeye fans tent that serves food and alcohol.

Stay tuned.

You will have a problem taking booze on shuttle. Take a cab from downtown. Maybe a 5$ ride. 5 bucks a head is serious rip off. I used to walk to downtown from Citrus bown after seeing UCF play a few times. About 7-10 blocks to Church Street, the entertainment zone of downtown. Mears cab 407-699-9999.

Good idea!

Please note though, had no intentions of taking booze on the shuttle(maybe Bigbet does).

We will have all the booze we need once we get to the parking lot from IOWA tailgaters, as well as in the Hawkeye tent.

My wife and I are leaving on the 30th to go down to Orlando. Should be fun, even though it is Saban's last game as a Tiger.

Nothing like ice cold Bud at 9am. You have no idea how much beer these Iowa people drink. When Fish and I attended Rose Bowl bash in LA years ago, hotel actually ran out of beer NY eve. At Orange Bowl few years ago, beer line was 30-50 deep waiting in line at Pre Bowl pep rally. We always had the keg tapped early in morning at Home games in Iowa City at Frat house where Fish and I lived. They love to drink.

The first wave of BOWL tourists hit the sunshine state yesterday..............partied with about 100 fans last night from LSU, IOWA, and WISCONSIN.

When you think about it, these three schools rank right near the top in fan support and knowing how to have a good time.

I have been to a couple three Super Bowls, however nothing surpases the fun at bowl games and the couple days leading up to it............like I said, probably three fold if your attending a game of one of the three schools listed above.

Having LSU vs IOWA is going to be double fun!
