He was a minister, right J?
Sad news -- he seemed like a good person.

He was a Minister yes, but from what I 'm hearing he was struggling with his faith...They just said he hadn't been going to church, and even started reading hebrew, sounds like he was really soul searching...

No doubt about it he was one of the greats , both as a player and a man

from what i gather. .he stopped practing christianity a few years ago and wanted to learn more about hebrew, and even took a trip out of the country to do so.

he said something like "religion isnt just about believing, it is about finding out the truth for yourself" (actually it was some chic reporter qouting him.)

you have to applaud reggie, he made that big time hurdle of knowing christianity is'nt the real deal! alright im being a little facetious here, but what i have above in my post is what they were saying. .

I just watched a show on the NFL channel last nite produced by NFL films called pro football and religion and it was really good.
They had Reggie on for about 15-20 minutes,he did actually say that quote.
funny how things work out he dies on Xmas or the day after.I hope he is where he wants to be ...R.I.P. Reggie

Christianity is NOT CERTAIN. Just as NO RELIGION is Certain.

I applaud Reggie for the search.

All of the religions are merely a sort of "brain-washing" to achieve a goal of sorts.

Rest in Peace Reggie--I was a fan of Yours!!!

He was one of the greatest to play the game period. He grew up an Eagle and losing Reggie White is a great loss for the Eagle family and for the NFL family. There will be an Eagle press conference at 5 PM on the death of Reggie White. Just another sad day for the fans of the NFL.

We lost Jerome Brown...now we lose Reggie White. 99+92 Rest In Peace.

I feel the same way sportsbet. Even though I don't have a favorite NFL team or exclusively follow a team now, my favorite team when I was a kid was the Eagles of the 80s with Jerome Brown (who was taken from us too early), Reg, Randall, Mike Quick and I believe a young Cris Carter along with a cast of others. Those were the days I tell ya, if Jerome wouldn't have passed we would've won it all. I normally don't get wrapped up in athletes or celebrity deaths but this one for some reason hurts. :(

Totally agree Reggie White made his legacy as an Eagle...but from the time he was terrorising QB's at Tennessee he was just incredible for whomever he played with...

No doubt go2...I remember how difficult it was after Jerome's death for them to really fill the void. I don't think they were ever the same team after losing 99. Losing 92 is just as big a loss. Reggie was a leader no doubt about it. It's a shame he passed away at such a young age. He did a lot of good his entire life. I'm sure the birds will remember him properly as they did with 99.

99+92 Rest In Peace
