I would say yes, does it almost every game with no material

Second most relentless player ever next to Jordan, sad when you watch a gay loser like TMAC (most overrated player ever) every night with no desire or heart and it shows in every team he has played on.

Isiah was great but had way more talent around him, AI would of won 4 titles with Pistons in those years.

Allen obviously has talent. but I dont respect him much.. he may drop 30 points, but he will go 10-30 from the field to do so.

Lebron drops 40 points and does it in 25 shots (13-25) and is above 50% from the field for the year.

Obviously Lebron isnt a small gaurd ... just wanted to use a comparison

Define small guard? I say NO, but he is probably better than I give him credit for...Not many guys his size who can get open and create on that level

JJ, I rarely dispute your comments, but you are so wrong about TMac. This guy does it all. He has just been on a horrible team most of his career. Not only that, he is quiet, humble, and a great guy off the court, unlike the guy directly below (Kobe) who obviously has gotten more attention throughout his career because he craves and creates attention combined with playing with Shaq. Compare those career numbers below and keep in mind that TMac has put up as good or better numbers in categories DESPITE having to deal with double and triple teams night after night, when Kobe has put up similar numbers while playing with the greatest and most dominant center to evey, who draw/drew the double and triple teams AWAY from Kobe.........Also, what are you considering a "small" guard? As in height? If that's the case, the all-time steals AND all-time assist record-holder gets my vote..........John Stockton

Iverson incredible talent, pure scorer who improvises with the best of them..His supporting cast has never been impressive, but he keeps the sixers alive..

Tough to coach, tough to defend, and tough to play with..But great talent..

The greatest point guard I think I have ever seen is still Nate.."TINY"..Archibald..From Clinton in the Bronx, to UTEP..into the NBA..Tiny defined the position..

One mans opinion..

I would take Dumars in his prime over AI. Lots of heart with AI, but come on you can't take that many shots when you are hitting about 40% of them. Dumars had lot better talent around him, but all things being equal Joe D was a better talent who could hit consistently from any distance.

best small guards of all time are the above mentioned Tiny Archibald and Isiah Thomas.

nobody will ever lead the league in assists and scoring in the same year again like Tiny did.

The Big O

Oscar Robertson was the best ever.

And he was and still is the only guy to average a triple double for a whole season. Lebron hasn't even had a triple double in a game yet. And Oscar did it in his second year in the league.

When I hear small guard I think 2 guard. For guys 6 ft and under, I would agree that Iverson is the best all-time. Stockton 2nd. Iverson still has alot of basketball left, he's still only 29 although it seems he's been playing alot longer.

When I first moved to The ATL in August of 1984 I was fresh out of Florida State, UHaul with car in tow and no where to live. I spent a couple weeks with relatives scoping out the area and decided on one complex; when I moved in I had some help from cousins and this little short black guy, he was my neighbor. A few days later I met him at the mail box and he asked " do you want two tickets to the Hawks game tonight?" I said aren't you going? He laughed at me and said "no I'm playing, my name is Spud Webb." I had no clue but over the next few years I figured it out. I remember Spud had this Stingray that was louder than any Harley. We were friends for a season and then he got paid and left poor college grad Glaken behind....Back in the day!

He could dunk the ball at 5'6" and I could barely touch rim at 5'9" Maybe he was a guard, I never went to his games..my loss. G

I would like to see A.I. guard Jordan in his prime like Dumars did.

I will vote for Tiny Archibald too. A.I. does have heart though, just not much of a team player.

What do you mean by small?:icon_conf Do you mean the best small player or do you mean the point guard because that is the only position that you can get away with having a small player play the position?
AI is out of position because he is way too small to play shooting guard and that's the position he plays. He can't really play the shooting guard position because he gets eaten alive on the defensive end of the court.
As far as a point guard he flat out stinks and only hurts the sixers when he tries to play that position. And that means the sixers must play a point guard along side him and then the sixers are always small on the defensive end.
AI needs to be a point guard and pass a little more to be called a great player.
John Stockton was a far better overall player than AI will ever be. Oscar Robertson was also 3 times the player AI will ever be.
I also agree with Tiny being a far better player than AI.
AI can score and it looks great but in reality he isn't that important a player and he hurts the sixers because of the fact he has no position.
Because he really needs to be the point guard and score points but also get a more assists and that isn't going to happen.
