Did not touch the game, but the heavy chalk turned out to be a bust. Is this a perfect example of a square play or what!?!?!!?!?

ID several weeks ago I posted a thread about teams you would never bet, lots of us included the Pac 10 as a whole. I went with that feeling and took TT which was the right call...the Pac 10 is tough to cap, can they really be that bad on defense accross the board? USC will give me a clue when they play; I think there is money to be made in the Pac 10 if we can just get a handle on this conference. Today was the first time I cashed a ticket on a game involving aPac 10 team this year.

Anyway the real Bowl season starts tomorrow..I like Alabama and Miami, GLTA, G

After the game is over it's easy to label the deal. Teams could play again next week with an entirely different outcome. Today was Tech's day. All I know is Texas won at Tech by 30. Horn's are ready for the World. Well, maybe not the world but we're more than ready for Michigan. My square money is all over Texas.

Public today was all over BC and Navy in the early games. Both came in making the "heavy square" Cal game and easy play for TT. Not saying it because after the fact but because I took small loses in the 1st two in anticipation of TT game coming in huge.

Agreed, I think Texas blows Michigan away; I capped it at 42-20 and I was generous with a few Michigan stats.

Mighty Vol. Mack is great off the field. He talks a good game. Basically why we're stuck with him. All season my rally cry has been "this year we outplay our coach." So far. So good. (except for OU as usual. Brown was proud to lose by only 12.)

Btw, Go Vols. Beat A & M!

Cal's closing two games of the regular season defensively, and passing over for UT in BCS, factored to the line, produced the same angle that any semi-sharp to wiseguy made on the Wyom-UCLA game, and this being the standard play-it-blind angle any pro ever would make to games of such(West Coast/Lack Of Running Game/Finesse Laying DDs), even if they had had been on an island for vacation without a tv all year, or fresh out of a government country club without seeing any ball all season, could only summize...Dog Or Nothing!..Play Size Only Debate.

Never bet on the team that starts complaining about their post-season opponent. They motivate the other team more than anything else.

If you look at these games...where the teams spent 3 weeks talking about how they are dissapointed with their bowl game, should be playing a better team, etc... In some of these examples the other team actually MANHANDLED the favorite (as was the case last night)

Bottom line... Don't bet on the team who thinks they belong in a better bowl game. Happens year in and year out. Go the other way ATS and rake it in.

I'd have to say that CAL was indeed a square play. The line opened at 11 yesterday and closed as low as 10 in some sports books...

Many sharpies that I know were on the DOG and some SQUARES that I also know were on California...

Isn't that right Marty? LOL
