Still cannot comprehend this tradegy

People lost almost everyone in their families

The hardest thing to watch is all the kids that died and many were in their moms arms and got swept away

And we are worried who is going to cover a game

This is going down by far as the greatest tragedy the world has ever seen

No, that 1550 quake that killed 1 million is a bit more harsh.

And we are worried who is going to cover a game
Gotta keep it all in perspective for sure JJ. Good point.

Pete the destruction here and the thousands of miles it covered makes anything else minor

agreed, and I get yelled at and mocked because someone thought the UNC-BC game was a big deal and tried to put it in perspective.

a terrible tragedy my heart goes out to all that have been affected.

. it's a shame that BOTH SIDES OF THE POLITICAL AISLE are using this as a political football. it disgusts me.

second that opinion, Wish some politician would call out the other scumbags that are using this for political gain and say

"be F-in human beings, look at the tragedy and help a fellow human out, stop the political BS for one second and have some compassion!"
The first politician that says that has my backing forever.

it is starting to look like the one's who died were the lucky ones. the survivors have lost everything. family, homes, businesses.

if i lived there and lost my entire family and everything i had, i think i would wish i had died too.

sad to think that way.

one thing though is that the loss of life was not caused by war, acts of terror, or anything man made. it was nature and the way this magnificent planet of ours sometimes operates. we are all at its mercy.

The Earth has an interesting way of surviving.

Dinosaurs were taking up most of the natural resources and ruining the planet. Boom!

Overpopulation is some areas, ruining the planet and it's resources. Boom earthquake.

Overpopulation by nomads and mass waste of natural resources.

Boom Ice Age.

I laugh when I hear people talk about the dangers of pollution to our planet. Our planet will be fine.

A single volcano causes more pollution than all the cars, coal mines, and general waste combined.

The earth will be fine.
