O Carolina the 1 year wonder....

Honorable Mention: The offensively offensive offense of the Baltimore Ravens.

Without question Baltimore Ravens...

I believed Carolina was the NFC team to beat too, so many injuries, Smith,Davis Foster etc...

KC comes to mind but they didn't improve their defense, just changed coordinators.

Will the Panthers by far but dont be afraid to bet them next to go all the way hopefully they will be healthy and have Mohomad back! Also another good team to bet next year will be the Titans.

These teams had legitimate injury issues:

Carolina & Tennessee

No excuse teams:

Kansas City, Baltimore

KC was considered a legit SB contender. The offense did their part. All KC had to do was improve a tad defensively & they couldn't even do that.

Billick needs to go back to his heyday at Minnesota & open that offense up. Points win you games in this league nowadays with the new defensive rules!

Ravens.

Should be a good bet next year. Boller got better and hopefully J. Lewis won't transport drugs next year.

Chiefs, easily. They came and went in a matter of one year. Who knows if Holmes will ever be the same? The window of opportunity may have come and gone that quickly for Vermeil.

Strange no one has mentioned the Cowboys. I know they don't belong in the playoffs (even in the NFC version) but there was some optimism before the season started.

I'd say the Bills for losing to 3rd stringers after winning 6 straight by an average of 17 points.

:::::

or the lions had some promise going into the season with their draft....
The Vikings even though they lucked their way in... They should be better than 8-8

For the 1st time ever, I would have to agree with Lander

Losing at home to backups is ridiculous. Although I can't complain, got my Jets into the playoffs where they don't belong.

Only 5 more days till the Hackett Era is over!!!

Baltimore and Carolina because people were actually picking them to be in the Superbowl before the season started.

Don't recall too many cowboy or chief predictions.

When expectations are superbowl victory and you don't make the playoffs... That's pretty upsetting.

Although I think every NFL team will tell you they expect to win the superbowl during training camp
