Hey All,

A friend of mine needed some cash for christmas so he gave me a few sportscards for a little cash only $250! He said he would purchase them back but now says he does not want them back, I was just curious these cards are not in mint condition but they are not in horrible condition but anyway I wanna post a few of them and maybe someone can tell me if they are worth anything! I have tried to find prices online but I really no nothing about sportscards! Thanks for any input!

1990 fleer troy aikman card no 384
1992 topps ken griffey jr card no 50
1987-88 Fleer Akeem Olajuwon card no 80
1986 Fleer Nolan Ryan Card no 310
1989 Donruss Curt Schilling no 635
2 1986 topps John Elway no 112
1986 topps mike singletar no 24
1985 topps tony dorsett no 40
1987 topps randall cunningham no 296
1988-89 fleer Isiah thomas no 106
1989 upperdeck randy johnson no 25

1989 fleer john smoltz no 602
1986 topps steve young no 374
1985 topps warren moon no 251

All I want to know is what to ask a local card dealer for these cards! I know I wont get $250 as I have already marked that as a loss but what should I expect by selling them all to a greedy sportscard dealer!

Most card dealers will give you absolute lowest possible amount because they have a hard time selling what they have.

Card hobby died long ago because of over production

Ok this is the most you'll get for each card...I looked.

And by that I mean selling on ebay. a dealer will give you no more than 25% of what I post.

1990 fleer troy aikman card no 384
$2-$3
1992 topps ken griffey jr card no 50
$3-$4
1987-88 Fleer Akeem Olajuwon card no 80
$1
1986 Fleer Nolan Ryan Card no 310
$3
1989 Donruss Curt Schilling no 635
$5
2 1986 topps John Elway no 112
$5

The rest aren't worth going through because they're next to worthless. Check ebay if you don't believe me. Sorry man...I learned this lesson when I tried to sell my old card collection. It's literally worth more to just keep whatever you have unless your cards are ultra rare or from the 60's

A dealer will probably offer you $20. Which isn't even worth it. Sell them on ebay as one lot for $35-$40. That's the most you'll get.

thanks for the response guys, I was just helping the boy out for christmas hell I figured I would get stuck with them! I figured they were worth more than that though wow! thanks for the price updates hache the young card is in decent condition the moon card looks very good, I figured the sosa and johnson upperdeck rookies were good cards because I use to hear people talking about upperdeck cards being worth more! so I guess if I can get $50 for the whole shabang I will be lucky! Have a great night guys and thanks!

He's right about the Young card. Seems like you can get $15 for Young on Ebay.

The moon card seems to only get $5-6 though

thanks worldrunner! I have never dealt with e-bay so the easiest thing for me is to sell them all at 1 time and just take my loss! there are a about 10 more cards I did not list which they are probably just a $1 or $2 each as well!

Alan, you can get one month for a particular sports for $3-$4 at the Beckett link Tiko sent you. I wouldn't bother unless you just want to see some prices for youself. I hate to say it my friend, but you may only get $20-$25 max back for those cards, unless you can find a sucker somewhere! Ummmmmmmmm.........I mean.........:ohno:
LOL........just messing with ya!

I have got some old cards too that I would like to unload for a fair price.
My most valuable is probably 1975 Topps set (G.Brett rookie).
Also have: 94 Upperdeck set, 81 Donruss, 78,79,80 and 85 Topps set. Tons of other misc cards. Hey Dante, I have old Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates cards if you are interested. I know about the Becketts guides, can you still get them in card shops or are they just online now?
