Just a simple survey here. Wondering how much the hype and the TV nature of bowl games causes people to bet on them. So I am wondering, out of the 28 games that will be played, how many full-game sides and/or totals did you play?

I will start it off, I played only 4 total bets on the bowls and will pass tomorrow night.

That was my point Dimeplayer, but lets see if people respond on this. I suspect many people bet just about every game, especially on a night like tonight when there is only one going and it is on network TV.

First of all, I enjoy your articles on the front page of theRX.com.

To answer your question, I try to bet most of the major bowls. Since there is a lot of action on these games I feel the books will shade the lines to sucker the square public. I tend to fade the public on these games (as well as Monday Night Football).

The professional sharps I know had action on possibly every single game... of course they're doing props, 1st half, 2nd half, predicting line movement and betting one side, just to buy back 4 pts later, stuff like that. If these guys let one bowl game go by without a bet, I'd be surprised...

As for me, I had Va Tech last night. My only bowl bet this year, but I don't bet as much as I used to.

i almost never bet the bowls or the nfl playoffs.

i have always had the mindset that i work so hard during the regular seasons of both that i just want to sit back and enjoy the games with nothing riding on them.

i know i'm missing out on some value , but i have enough to wager on during the other 340 or so days of the year.
