The BCS SCAM screws us all again

yeah sure, this was the best match-up for the title game. And sure, Louisville did not deserve to be in the BCS but Pittsburgh did, HA HA HA.

would anyone want to see Utah, Auburn and USC play further to determine the real champion? no, of course not. the system is just fine as it is.

One thing is for sure, for some reason the BCS just loves Oklahoma. Next year Oklahoma will be in the Championship game even if they have an 8-4 record. Why does Oklahoma have to get in every year?

Come on guys. I think Utah and Auburn are good teams as well, but you aren't settling any arguments having a tournament. You just create more. I think it is good this year, fans in Salt Lake get to celebrate with an unbeaten season and a big win in a major bowl game. Why ruin that saying "well you guys couldn't beat this team or that team"? The BCS sucks, but it goes beyond just the title matchup. For now I just say let it be, every team's fans dream of an undefeated season, where you whip up on your rivals and then win the big bowl game. What the voters and the system do is beyond your control. I remember the same crap back in 92, I was a student at Washington at the time and we flat out destroyed everyone we faced. We had one close game, where we almost blew a big lead at Cal. Otherwise we torched the competition, but Miami won all their games too and deserved a title so I had no problems with just half the mythical title and the satisfaction that my team couldn't possibly have done it any better. Just remember that before you start trying to matchup the Utes or the Tigers with SC...

Maybe Shrink and Fishhead can award the RX.com national title to Utah. I'm sure they would claim it. I know I would.

The playoff is already in place if you just use the 4 Major Bowl games and play them all on Jan. 1st like you use too. Semifinals the following week. I don't understand why that wouldn't work. Only 3 extra games, which would solve all of this nonsense, and make the 4 major games mean something. I don't know about you but Auburn-Va Tech Utah-Pitt and whatever the other game was didn't mean anything so I had no interest. They were Exhibition games as far as I'm concerned

I'm not convinced Auburn could sustain running the ball or score enough to hang with USC, but they have the only defense that could keep USC in check when the Trojans have a month to get ready for a game.

USC with time to prep has now rolled in bowls the last three years, usually having game in pocket by halftime.

Bill's point is logical as now you have more satisfaction spread around. Auburn and USC can both claim the fame. I would like to see a playoff also, but really on any given day, the best team doesn't necessarily win.

Cal got hosed too. yeah they laid an egg, but they never should have been relegated to the dinky bowl. Cal only lost a tight one to USC and they outgained USC by a lot.

Louisville lost a tight one in the orange bowl which they kinda blew. Tough place to win on the road though.

would like to see those two teams included in a playoff bracket

i was an auburn fan all year long but didnt watch many of the games. after watching them against vt i was really disappointed. if they believe that they could have competed with either usc or okla last night, they would have been destroyed. when usc brings their A game, which they did last night, nobody in division one can hang with them.....HF
