Savage is the Cleveland Browns new GM.. what does this mean for Iowa?

Goodbye Ferentz, as Savage is Ferentz's best friend and will lure him back to the NFL.

I follow Cleveland and do like them, more of a Lion fan but regardless, I would think they would go after an experienced NFL coach rather than trying out another college coach.

Preseason 2005 Top 4

1. USC
2. IOWA
3. LSU
4. MICHIGAN

Dont think Ferentz will be leaving anytime soon, as always contended by yours trully.

Again, PENN STATE is the only job that would lure him away from Iowa imo.

The defensive line needs rebuilding, but other than that, the entire IOWA squad is back next year.............plus a top notch recruiting class is being assembled that includes the nations #1 fullback and #1 quarterback.

Jake Christenson, the nations #1 qb recruit and committed to Iowa, reminds me of a young Kenny Stabler.

Very impressed with the film clips that i have been viewing and see why he is so highly regarded.

Phil Savage is the man. He has yet to miss on a 1st round pick. I also read that Savage might want Mike Nolan (Ravens D Coordinator) as the head coach.

where I live I get split Detroit and Cleveland coverage, and I have heard them talk about Nolan...

Grimm, Nolan, Ferentz, Fassel, Childress, Robiskie, Crennell

Savage will have his hands full but I think Cleveland did very well by getting him inzstead of giving up a pick for Pioli or Newsome

Better odds on Ashley Simpson actually being able to sing than Ol Kirk leaving right now ...

* Possible Top 5 recruiting class coming in ... loaded with one of the top qbs, top FB out of Florida, stud RB out of Tx and beat out USC for a top LB in Ohio

* Best sophmore QB in the country ... sorry, Texas fans .. notice I said QUARTERBACK

* Best secondary in the country probably in 2006

* Probably best LB corp in the country next yr

* One of the Top 5 toughest stadiums in the country to win at

Ferentz is building something special at Iowa .. he aint leaving any time soon
