As a long time ANAHEIM Angel fan & season ticket holder, I am quite disgusted with Artie Boy's arrogent disregard for the fan base of the team he "owns."
Bad enough we didn't manage to hold onto Troy Glaus or Troy Percival.....dumping David Eckstein (one of the VERY few remaining great role models left in baseball) was completely wrong. Oh....I'm sorry Artie (you idiot).....you say you were trying to build a championship team ?? Hmmm.....I don't remember who our shortstop was in 2002....do you ???
The Angels got it done in '02 with one of the lowest payrolls in baseball. They barely made the playoffs in '04 with the third highest. The '02 team had HEART....something a scumbag like Artie Moreno has no concept of.
But now it has become ridiculous.....and it would even be funny if it wasn't so disgraceful. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ??? PLEASE !!! Gimme a friggin' break Artie. You are just an a$$hole with a big wallet.
Yeah....great idea. How many from LA...or even LA COUNTY ever come to Angel games...other than a few bandwagoners that might show up at playoff time ?? The team plays in Anaheim. The vast majority of the fan base comes from the 3,000,000 or so people living in Orange County. The city of Anaheim paid $30,000,000 to renovate the ballpark in 1997 with a written agreement that the name Anaheim be part of the team name until 2017....and this is how you honor that Artie?? You unprincipled piece of sh1t !!

Hey Artie.....Hey Pondscum.....I have an idea for ya.....and I won't even charge ya for it. Try calling the team the BROOKLYN Angels. It makes as much sense as calling them the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim....and there are LOTS of misplaced Brooklynites in Orange County who would LOVE a new team. (and a decent slice of pizza)

The Angels were about something in 2002. There was really something to root for. I will never forget how it felt watching Spezio's ball leave the park in the 7th inning of Game 6. That is something you can't take away from us Artie (you perpetual licker of dingleberries). Hopefully you will slither back into whatever hole you came from and give us back our team.
