Thanks guys (Fishead and D2Bets especially), I learned a lot from the NBA thread.

Any thoughts on college hoops key numbers?

Thanks in advance

I have never found a key #% wise in college hoops, although some say never lay -2.5.

2 is the strongest by far. I go for middles in College all the time, I try to lay 1 or 1.5 and take +3. you will get the stew doing that.

In college, even some of the higher numbers are important, but personally I am particularly fond of the '8' and '9', especially the latter. '2' and '3' are good numbers as well.

I don't leave a hook on anything less than 10. I never leave a hook on large bets either.

I have seen one table that indicates that 8, 9, and 10 are worth (comparatively) more in college than NBA.

Bow your right on it...its conference time...lay 1.5 and + 3....there are maybe 3 or 4 games a week like this..you should start a thread. Only in college hoops I think...NBA gets paid even if they lose.

In the minds of some of you, how many cents do you think a half point is worth on games between -2 and -5?

I have a figure in mind, but will wait and see what others say............put it this way, what is the MOST you would spend to get an extra half point in this range and believe you were not taking the worst of it?

4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 8 cents?????

If I layed 1 or 1.5 I would pay the full 10cents to buy to 3. if I wasnt playing a middle I wouldnt pay no more than a 6 cents for 3 and no more than a nickel on 4

If the # is really strong there's no need to buy it down. You can lay -2.5 if it's a strong # no problem. I don't really buy into all this key # crap. If the # the linesmake made is bad... you can exploit it no matter what the # is.

It's a good thing to keep in mind while looking at a game... But don't need to put to much into it.
