I hesitate to make my first post a complaint, but here goes.

1. Dimeplayer took my deposit and gave me a $300 bonus.
2. After 5 days of betting (4 bets), they closed my account with no notice.
3. I called. A pleasant Southern gentleman told me I had won too much and they closed my account (I had nearly $3000 above my deposit, $2700 above my deposit+bonus)
4. He said he would refund my balance.
5. No problem. I appreciate someone being scared of my talent (though it was simply luck).
6 A few days later I see they kept the $300 bonus. News to me.
7. I called and they said I didn't play enough. But, I said, "I couldn't play because you closed my account". So sorry. Rules are rules.

Moral of the story is that Dime players reserves the right to take your bonus if it appears you are going to leave a winner.

G. Money,
I appreciate any help you or anyone else can give. I was unaware that there is some private format to get help.

Truthfully, I didn't post expecting help. I don't think I will see the money. I can't even get too mad since I won so much from them.

I posted:

1. For revenge. I don't like getting ripped off.
2. More noblely, to warn others just as others have warned me.

Getting my money back is not a big reason for the post.

They told you, that you had "won too much?"

and u had only won 3000.00?

thats weird..

I forwarded this link to Ryan at Dimeplayer, so they can address the issue...

Seems a little odd.......

However, if a book doesnt want your action, and admits it, I would prefer they do it like this, by paying you your balance without a hassle....

Assuming everything is above board (which I suspect it is), the problem is that they DIDN'T pay him his balance ... they deducted the bonus, which was already given to him on a pre-arranged contract (agreed to by both parties).

The proper thing to do is pay him his bonus, or if they prefer, allow him to wager until rollover requirements are met. If they choose not to do the right thing, then the bare minimum they should do is pay him a pro-rated portion of the bonus, based on the percentage of the rollover that he has completed.

Only a 3rd-tier book would keep the whole thing, just because the guy turns out to be winning and/or sharp.

Holysmoke,

Yes Books Can Do A Lot Wrong, But It Is Fishy When A Poster Makes His Or Her First Post And It Is A Complaint Against A Book...and I Can Tell You More Times Than Not...there Is More To The Story...i Think Halifax Can Vouch For That As He Has Seen It Before I'am Sure....g.

The only thing fishy in this one is that it's a brand new poster. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a regular poster that doesn't want to get his regular posting name thrown around.

The story itself, however, is not fishy. Dimeplayer has done this on more than one occasion in the past .. confiscate the bonus of a player that is either (a) winning, (b) sharp, or (c) both.

Bonus

I am on my way out the door but received an email asking if I would like to address a thread on here and was shocked at what has transpired. I only have a minute so this will be brief but I will try and make it back on here tonight or tomorrow to give a more detailed explanation of my feelings on bonuses.

As for this particular account, please post your account number and I would be happy to get you the full deposit (no pro rated bonuses) as long as you played by the rules (which I am assuming you did...just want to make sure your account was not closed for other reasons).

Dimeplayer is managed by the group at Legendz to ensure that we have a core group of recreational players. If our general manager decided that you were too sharp, I congratulate you. One thing is for sure, you will never have a problem receiving your money.

As I said, I will try and get on here tonight to post my philosophy on bonuses. But keep in mind, in general, bonus money is not yours until you reach the rollover requirement. Now if you were asked to leave before meeting your requirements because you won and followed the rules (or were limited...which is what we do...that is why I would like to see your account number to find out why it was closed), then that is a situation I would be more than happy to give you the entire bonus even though you did not meet the requirements.

Please shoot me an email with your account number.

Best regards,
Ryan Hill

Sorry so brief...but I have to run.
