And devote time and resources to it aren't all sports beatable? I have had my bad streaks, but when time and homework are applied I have been able to be in the black in any sport I applied myself. I don't do this full time and would like to hear from fulltimers. Some are not worth the time I understand but still if you have the right approach you won't lose.

All sports are beatable..when done with much contemplation, even more deliberation, some sports only via moderation, most cards/games passed after scrutinized consideration, only after years of learning when to pull up without hesitation, always requiring advanced skills in numeration, with help via communication of loose affiliation, yet not being 86'ed for being in cooperation,..now enough of my typing masturbation.

I agree, however, I have noticed one thing over the years.
Information is key to making a profitable choice and the internet has certainly helped in that regard.

The question is: Is too much information a bad thing?

I will read team updates, stats, quotes, injury reports, weather, line movements, media, analysis....etc.
It clutters the mind sometime. I must learn to filter this information better.

I dont have the answer...but I am working on it.

you have to chose your spots.

Better to find the real weak #'s and bet them as hard as possible than it is to grind it out daily IMO. Just depends on the person though because some are better @ the grind.

Basic info isn't worth anything. Key is to spend your time figuring out ways the generally accepted story could be wrong or where you think the public is probably going too far. As much as we all don't think much of Wayne Root, I still closely follow his principle of betting on teams when it just doesn't seem to make sense to do so, at least from the view of the public.

Don't know much about Wayne Root.

Think he might be on to something whoever he is...

I read his book once and I'm better off for doing so. Not just for gambling either. Don't know that I'd tell anyone to buy the book...but nothing wrong with going to Barnes to read it one weekend. (or your library)

I like Wayne. Don't know him personally and don't really approve of the handicapping services in general...but he's pretty sharp as far as general handicapping knowledge that is pretty helpful when gambling.

I win in two sports year after year and that is why I only bet primarily on those two sports. I have a full time job and that is all I have time for. It's college football and college basketball for me and some NFL from time to time. The last two years have been dream seasons for me in both sports. Don't get me wrong we all have bad runs but when it's all said and done I am somewhere around 60%. Anyone telling you they hit higher (most touts) are full of sh*t. I don't wager for the action I wager to make money. If I didn't profit from it I would in no way put my family through this. My wife of 20+ years is a great woman and I always share the wealth, and that keeps everyone happy.

After being at rx I wonder why anyone has to work??

I guess winning is automatic

99% of sportsbettors end up broke period.

Please don't bore me with how you might possibly win chump change with all the time you put in.

If you applied yourslef and gave that much energy to real job ROI is no comparison.

If yo want to make money you must work and not gamble, lets not kid oursleves here.
