I am new to writing on these boards although I will been a onlooker for a while. I usually dont post these items but these situation is really bothering me and I want to get feedback from the people here and the Shrink.

I have an account at Heritage and have been a customer there for 5 years or so. I am definitely down a good chunk of money there which is really irrelevant for this but I wanted to give the full background.

A former friend of mine (You will understand why I say former) transferred money from his account to mine. I paid him for it. I have done this many times before and I have never had a problem with this. However, this time around, there was a problem with his deposit and they took about $500 from my account. The rep there, Fred, told me that Heritage should have never let that transfer go through and that he deposited with a check and it was presented with insufficient funds. As it turns out, I have been unable to get the money and so now I am out $500. I have played at Heritage since this initially happened and have lost more money. I called them today to see if they can do something for me and they said there is nothing they can do, I am out $500 and they say "you're acct is always open here". Well, I cant play there until this is resolved b/c I feel like I was treated unfairly. I am out the money b/c someone there didnt follow the policy. I never would have paid for the money if I knew it was uncleared funds!

Am I making a bigger deal out of this then it is? Please let me know. I know its only $500 but its the principle as a customer who has given plenty of business to Heritage and I will say that I have been treated very well there up until this.

I don't think you have any legitimate beef with the book over this matter.

I am aware that this won't mean much coming from a guy in Canada but I feel your government screwed you. I hope all has worked out for you. Are you still in the business.

I believe Jay C has a lot of balls for what he did and I respect that a lot. The hypocrisy of what happened to him is unbelievable. I'm surprised any reasonable jury would find him guilty.

DAMN.

Pretty hypocritical for New Yokers to put one of their own away for gambling. We all know New Yorkers love to gamble.

Jay if the justice department's investigation was concluded after Sept 11, 2001 do you think you would have still been indicted?

Personally I don't.

Doesn't surprise me, the ways juries can be manipulated.

Jay, I'm not sufficiently familiar with the judicial system to know if you could have elected a trial by judge alone and if so why you did not?
