One thing going against Hudson is where is the offense going to come from for Atlanta. I believe they will struggle to score runs unless more bats are added to this lineup. The Jones boys never seem to be on , lost Drew, and can't expect the catcher Estrada to have same year. Hudson imo will have a great year but won't get enough wins like Randy Johnson last year to win the award. Jason Schmitt would be another name to add to the list!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, eh Cubsmac?
Look at his stats the last two years. Improvement in nearly every category. 16-8, 2.75 era, .225 opp ba, 8.07 k/9, finished 5th in '04 Cy Young voting...and the guy is only 23 years old. In my opinion, he is the best pitcher the Cubs have. Winning the Cy Young next year may be wishful thinking, but if he improves on his numbers once again, he will be top 3.

nice sleeper pick with Oliver Perez...too bad the Pirates give zero run support. I'll take a shot for a big price on my Mets # 2 starter, Tom Glavine-- pitched pretty well despite a poor w-l last year. Maybe with a better squad he gets some more W's, and the umps start giving him the big strike zone again!
