In this past month's Cigar Aficionado, Michael Kaplan had nice short book reviews of the following:
Getting The Best Of It by David Sklansky
Real World Sports Betting by Kevin O'Neill
Super System 2 by Doyle Brunson
Comp City by Max Rubin
Blackjack Attack by Don Schlesinger
Betting Thoroughbreds by Steven Davidowitz
Fast Company by Jon Bradshaw, in which the review starts with this tidbit, "Visit the home of top sports bettor Billy Baxter, and a first edition of this book rests on a small shelf behind his desk. Puggy Pearson has got a copy as well"...tells you all you need to know about this realistic 1974 classic!
It also has a nice Dominican Republic golf article, and the previous month's issue had a nice Fossilman interview, as going all the way back to their fabulous "Poker Greats/Setting Up Office at The Mirage" article of 1996, and this past year's Offshore articles, Marvin Shanken has had nice gaming articles in CA..an excellent magazine regardless of whether a cigar fan or not.
