WorldRunner,

I read some posts here recently on stocks that our gamblers liked and one of the was SIRIUS (SIRI)...

I am hearing that DirecTV may now enter the satellite radio arena and compete against SIRIUS, hence the sharp drop in price last week and today...

They're going to have a hard time competing IMO. No room for a third satellite provider when both providers are hustling to have more customers so that they can finance their futures.

SIRIUS also has NBA and NHL and college football.

A real big blow to Sirius was when XM got MLB.

What really sucks about MLB now is it's hard to find a broadcast of a game so not having MLB hurt a bit but I'd rather have NFL, NBA, college hoops and foots.

Anyone who already has sirius... Did you notice the change they made while listening to channel #120? Scores scroll on the tuner. That's a *HUGE* benefit now while on the road you don't have to call score phones you can just watch your tuner (and then get in a wreck)

Sirius stock is still a really good long term stock. I don't look at anything that long term but if someone was looking to unload a few thousand into a company for the next few years Sirius would be a good company. Don't see why their stock can't be over 20 in 3 years.

Only real good thing about MLB is that there are games on during the afternoon. I don't really take too much advantage of the Sirius sports broadcasts because I am usually home or somewhere to watch the games.

Same here. But me and my wife go on a lot of road trips. We drive home on Sundays and I'll tell you... The whole year charge for sirius is worth it for that 2-3 sundays a year where I spend 16 hours in a car.

Sterns audience can't afford pay radio, dope, smokes and booze are too expensive.

I guarantee that every single person with Sirius will tune into his show from time to time.

His signing boosted sales quite a bit. That should tell you something. I don't really like his show because hearing about lesbians making out really does very little.

His TV show would have the best ratings in the world if they put it on HBO with no censor.
