It's a numbers game. ATS trends mean as much as an injury. Forget trying to read NBA.com info. Track numbers and create systems which will reduce your NBA capping time. Some people spend hours upon hours capping, so why not simplify it? I will not even debate the cheating going on by officials controlling ATS numbers against public perception.

What are your thoughts? Do you study public info hour after hour looking for a winner or do you spend 30 minutes a day on a spreadsheet tracking data?

Time is important.

General:

Anyone, and I mean anyone, that uses ATS trends in any sport, will lose over the long haul. There will be durations when they will be successful, but not over time. While it is true that sports wagering, particularly in hoops, is a numbers game, using trends instead of fundamental handicapping is a one way ticket to the poor house.

That is the popular opinion Ted.

I like to study this system angle. Everyday we see games and more data is available on sport. There are times when Data supplies us with big edges I have found.

Pete to me it's all about power ratings in the NBA. I think you need to be willing to constantly adjusting them as well. They've helped me a ton this year to at least stay afloat in the NBA.

In all pro sports systems work well. True to form. Now in college its different. Strength of schedule, the huge homefield advantages, numbers dont work.

you have 2 cappers currently in the nba.

using the theory of (THE-QUIT-FACTOR) no not( FEAR FACTOR ) journeyman.

but seriously this is powerful and useful information to consider for now on

when a team quits,
an example would be the golden state warriors

the last 2 games the warriors have fallen apart big time in the 3rd and 4th quarter on the last leg on their long road trip..

and i have seen teams do this numerous times this year in the nba

i have a computer program that i developed about 15 years ago that uses teams recent results vs how those recent opponents had been playing.

takes me 2 minutes to load daily scores and 2 minutes to spit out daily predictions.

trying to figure out how any nba team will perform on a nightly basis is a head shaking proposition.

i think you need some sort of statistical program to win playing the nba.

Been using a program all season. Using it for all sports. Saves me so much time. Plus there are things a computer can do (like analyze trends and simulate results based on a number of different factors) that people can't do.

Combination :
In order of importance

1) Trend Anaylisis. (Some trends cancel each other out... You have to know which ones)
2) Computer simulation
3) Power Rankings

Look at every game against those three things in computer and pick games with the bad line. Only way to win IMO. Will never ever again go back to guess work.
