you're crazy if you don't want Beltran in our outfield and our lineup. For years Met fans have been killing the Wilpons & Doubledays because they were too cheap. Now they spend and get possibly the best possible free-agent pitcher & hitter and that's still not good enough?

you know why. the mets want puerto rican and dominican guys so the future studs will want to play for the Mets.
remember when they signed pedro? "this will pay dividends down the road." meaning every good dominican player will want to go to the mets becuase pedro played there. or at least this is their thinking.

I think youre going to be suprised at how good this team is. with houston dropping back I think the mets get a WC. they wont beat atlanta but id say they just leaped ahead of florida (droped in pitching) and philly.

The same #'s he put up in KC, if not better. He should have some protection in the lineup now, and this guy is only 27! This isn't like a Mo Vaughn, Alomar or Glavine signing with somebody on the tail end of their career.
