up decide not to pay. I sat at that table with the investors and political parties involved as they told me of their intentions and came out of their with the feeling that soon most books would be in Panama.
After all, other countries were (and are still) shaking down book owners, Panama just turned down BOS because rumors of them no paying a BW beard, the 500k bond was being held for the players in case of disputes.
Even when things went bad I said there is too much to lose on the back end for them to not pay this debt so just thought it would sort itself out. The Government would step in and all players would be paid therefore assuring Panama as "THE PLACE TO PLAY"
I still shake my head and think how could Panama let all that money slip through their hands?

BUT how can you say you were biting your tongue, but now you are declaring open season on any book that might decide to locate there? Where were you when Curacao did nothing for Aces Gold customers? And why have you been biting your tongue in the first place?
I wouldn't have complained if you got hyped up over what has happened, but to say your racketeering only begins the moment some other book decides to go there is without a doubt ridiculous. Unless a book is a reincarnation of some stiff book, it doesn't matter where they go they don't deserve to be subject to your threats. If a good book decides Panama serves them best, I say more power to them. Remember criminals and poor managers are going to lead to trouble no matter where they locate. If people in this forum or elsewhere have a problem with posting up money in a book that moved to Panama, thats fine. But to have it happen because some writer has a revenge motive and hopes to put them out of business? That is plain wrong.
We have enough problems in this industry, we don't need people threatening books unless they have extremely good reasons. Merely locating in Panama isn't reason when every other jurisdiction out there has had cases of stiff books that they were powerless or unwilling to stop. If Ken and all the other staff here can't agree with that, I would personally be stunned.

I stick with what I have said in my above mentioned posts. My original post was more based for the country of Panama but also for sportsbooks that have intentions on going there. After all, any book would have to be looked at with suspicion if they were to enter the market there knowing what BetPanam did.

Like I said I met those people and they looked me right in the eye. I was sitting right besides Shrink at the time. He can vouch for the story, they lied to us.
They have lied to others that were there as well. If you, in your right mind can say that this isn't the way it should be then fine. That is what you have to believe in. But me, I say that anyone that does business in Panama is looking to do business with the Devil. And for that I will always fight the battle against Panama.
