Very unrealistic table talk. Almost like watching Maverick.

I watched tonight. Entertaining but not realistic, tag teams are almost always caught. It's a small world.

Fish and I planned some tag team strategy at the Rx bash but he was too hung over and I was too pissed that the Nugget conned almost all of the bashers out of 20 bucks each. In what world do you pay an "up front" dealer tip fee ?

J/K about the tag team .... Fish and I are both good players, you gotta be lucky at critical times to win any poker tourney. I think we both made the next to last table.

kiss you are kidding about the 20 bucks i hope...good god we took about 3 to 4 hours away from their normal day there in the poker room.....20 bucks is nothing for them to take as good of care of us as they did....i know the 2 people that made it to the final 2 and that was the infamous panther and myself jeffksu....so i would say we knew a little bit about the game as well.....there is no tagging up at the bashes hold'em tourney....as i'm pretty sure panther or myself had any partners.....lol jeffksu....

Personally imo $20 is lite. I go back to when there were some very George people gambling and drinking in Vegas. A cecil would have been no big deal for a good table at a show or restaurant. Bartenders, cocktail waitresses, valets and dealers were the best tokers (tippers) of all.

The top finishers usually toke 10%.

The Nugget knew most of the players were newbies and would pony up some front money. The tourney was widely promoted in this forum as "free."

It was a bush move by the poker room staff to pad there own pockets.

I would have had no problem with a twenty dollar "buy in" I'm sorry if this sounds so negative but I've been bumping around poker rooms and poker tourneys for years and what was done just wasn't right.

but

I'm always the "bad guy" anyway so what else is new ?

:dancefool

I'd also like to add that an "automatic anty" after a certain time was something new to me. The dealers and floor already bagged an extra $50.00 bucks for a couple hours of work so it was time to "speed up the event."
