Did anyone else besides me happen to watch the new show which aired last night on ESPN at 9 PM EST named, "TILT?"
While trying to watch the end of the DUKE vs. NC State hoops game, I was obliterated with streaming ads for this new show on the bottom of my TV screen, so I thought it was worth giving it a shot.
The whole idea of this new drama was to depict the life of some professional Poker Players who reside in Las Vegas. The show focused on some real life issues, such as the agony of defeat, the difficulty of winning in Vegas, the cheating involved in some of these games, and the likelihood that some Poker players team up to find themselves a whale to prey on.
Truthfully, I thought this show was awful, despite targeting a subject that interests me. It was simply missing so much. The acting was terrible, the topics were muddied, and the action was missing.
Although this will be aired weekly on Thursday nights, I doubt this writer will be watching it again...
If only the show was half as entertaining as being in Vegas, then my attitude might change. But for now, I'll gladly skip over this and await for Desperate Housewives on Sunday nights...
