While they're at it why don't they throw Raul Mondesi a two year pact :drink:

What a joke....why would this team be so foolish to bring in old aging over the hill players other than for fan appeal?

The Nationals have already had an auspicious start IMO:icon_conf

Its a shame they took so long to move, Vladdy could have been the cornerstone...

Some of these GM's would finish last in our poster Fantasy Leagues...I am convinced!

Nationals need butts in the seats the first couple years. Getting Sosa would be a good move in that respect.

I would think the region would pack that place no matter what but perhaps not...That whole situation surrounding this team, seems peculiar....It will be interesting but to me, something just doesn't seem right...Even after they already supposedly had the move set they had to scramble for investors...

Is Frank Robinson going to manage this team?

Would be nice to see F Robby back near Md...

Hi j-man, while we're resurrecting Sosa and Larkin, let's add Cal and Brother Lowenstein.

Whatever happened to Brady and Amanda? Did they break up?

LOL- Brother Low...I miss him on the local broadcasts...very very funny guy!

John Lowenstein will always be a key member of Orioles Magic folklore...and hit a very key homer in the 1983 World Series...Game 2, the O's had been 'tight' in game one, and lost 2-1..Game two they got down early, weren't hitting early in game two when Brother Low launched one to straightaway center off Charles Hudson giving us the lead and the team was off and running sweeping the final 4 games...

John 'Let it be' Lowenstein....unless you were from the area, you just would not get what he meant to this team and town back in the day...

2 worst players in the lague? Are you outta your mind? Despite having a very poor year by his standards, and filled with injury, he still hit 35 HR in 126 games. Finished in the Top 10 in NL HR's despite playing in many fewer games than anyone else in the Top 25.

Sure, he might strike out 170 times but he still should easily hit 40+ HR and 100RBI+ if he plays a full year. Most guys still can only dream of that.

The great Carlos Beltran had 3 more HR's in 121 more AB's.

And Larkin hit .289 last year. Not really the numbers of a guy who is "washed up".
