<!--StartFragment --> According to TNT Analyst David Aldridge there has been talk of a four way trade involving Toronto, New York, Miami and Minnesota, four maximum sized contracts exchanging zip codes.

According to the report Minnesota would receive Heat guard Eddie Jones and Toronto forward Donyell Marshall, Miami would receive Wolf Latrell Sprewell, the Knicks would receive disgruntled guard Jalen Rose while the Raptors receive often injured guard Anfernee 'Penny' Hardaway, who has one less year remaining on his contract.

More details as they come into play.

How do the Knicks get the worst? You wouldn't do Penny for Jalen Rose straight up? Penny is always hurt.

The only reason this trade works is because Toronto is looking to salary dump.

Sprewell will help the Heat out alot. Sprewell was adveraging 12pts a game fon Minnesoda, his adverage will go up alot for the Heat. Eddie Jones is a better defensive player, but Sprewell is alot better scorer. too many scorers at Minnesoda, this could be the key for the Heat winning the championship.

Is the City of Miami big enough for two ego's? Looks to me like the Heat get rid of a player who does'nt fit in to get another who won't fit in.

i dont know why miami thinks they need to make a change. trading jump shooter for jump shooter .

and getting sprewells attitude for a quiet , team player like eddie jones.

miami should stand pat and win with what they got.

i think minny makes out big time. although it doesnt really matter as they are going nowhere.

dumbest deal i have seen in a long time was the one the magic just did.

I agree world. I would'nt want to go fvcking with Wade's game right now and I think this is exactly what this deal would do. I think this trade has zero upside to it for Miami.

Miiny getting the best of that one by far. Toronto and Miami tied for 2nd. Torotonto gets benefit of dumping Rose's bloated contract(assuming there are at least a couple-three more years on it).

No way in the world I would trade Eddie Jones and end up with Spreewell. You get MUCH more defense with Eddie Jones. Would of even worked better for Miami if they could of worked it where they would of received the most underrated player in the NBA, Donyell Marshall underneath with Shaq......

Miami is denying this rumor. After speaking to a very reliable source in the Miami Heat organization, I highly doubt that this trade will happen. At least, I hope that it doesn't. Although I am not an Eddie Jones fan, I just do not think that this deal makes the Heat any better. Sprewell has shown his age this season, with his numbers down all across the board. Eddie Jones is a very solid defender and I also think that he has a better outside shot than Spree. Also, Eddie Jones is highly respected by the rest of the Heat, serving as a mentor to some of the younger players. Although Eddie has not been clutch and has actaully choked at certain times, I am against trading him for Spree. I hope this does not go down. And I don't think it will.
