Any of you have stories about idiots you have come across in Vegas or otherwise? I sat down at a blackjack table and played two hands both blackjacks and got up to leave as I did the guy on my left starts screaming good you get out of here those were my cards you son of a ***** etc etc. He didn't even figure out he would only have gotten my first card due to the fact I added one extra player and changed the number of cards coming out of the shoe that were dealt to the table.
If people don't like hit and run players then they should play at a no mid-shoe entry table which generally carries a higher limit, if not then stop bitching. He's entitled to get up after two BJ without grief if he wants. I use to play no mid-shoe sometimes to either play one on one with the dealer or avoid players "popping in."

I love to hit and run. That is the best way to win in any game. Get lucky once instead of pushing your luck and letting the odds catch up to you. The problem is that most people want the action and can't walk away; this includes myself sometimes.
If you don't like people hitting and running, play a no midshoe entry table.
I have a friend who will walk up to the roulette wheel and put down $300-$500 on black, hit it and is done for the day.

you wouldnt go to a slot machine, put in a buck and get $1800 on first pull and feel obligated to keep playing would you?!
gambling is gambling especially game like black jack where youre usually a slight favorite to lose each hand.

You are assuming rationality. Baaaaaad assumption. A very common psychology typical of gamblers is...if I win I'm great and if I lose it must be someone else's fault. Any excuse will do. My theory is that all through childhood they were told they are good and smart by their parents and teachers no matter what they did, so they assume they are invincible and look for ways to push their luck (this is why they enter the casino in the first place). If it doesn't work, well, it can't be their fault because they're good and smart no matter what they do. You're the closest person so it must be your fault.peteep said:
Obviously he was not a counter if he thought that he would have been dealt the two blackjacks if I did not show. Since five people at the table instead of four would change the whole rotation and number of cards dealt. He would have had my first face card but after that it would be different.
