Years back at the Union Plaza horse book in Vegas they had a regular degenerate player about seventy five years old that came in every day and would bet 2w 2s on all the races at Santa Anita. On this one paticular day also in the book was a vip player that would bet five hundred dollar exacta boxes etc. The big player hits a huge exata but when he goes to cash the ticket is missing. Five minutes later the old man shows up with the ticket. Obviously the old man picked up the ticket that was dropped or whatever.

The UP does not know what to do so the case ends up at the Nevada gambling board. Everyone from the hotel testifies the old man never bet more than two dollars in his life etc etc. The old man testifies that he scrimped and he saved he scrimped and he saved for more than thirty years to make one big bet in his life. At this point the place is roaring with laughter. Anyone guess what the final ruling was on who got paid?

Sherman,

Good call! Board ruled in favor of old man but UP ended up paying vip off as well.

You have to pay off to the person with the ticket. I don't think it is fair for people to always say someone does something & could possibly never change.
