tarkenton played at metropolitan stadium . never inside .

the vikes should move back outside.

rams were the only team to have a short lived run.

The Oilers with Campbell & Company were damn good and probably win a Super Bowl or 2 if Steelers dont have like 100 Hall of Famers ...

Still can see #34 running over Isiah Robertson of the Rams in the Ol Astrodome

None have won a playoff game outside to make the Super Bowl.

Sorry Atlanta.

MAN I SURPRISE MYSELF DAILY WITH HOW I CAN HELP FOOTBALL FANS

THE FIRST DOME TEAM, THAT CREATED THE SPREAD OFFENSE, ON A FAST ARTIFICAL SURFACE, AND WENT TO 5 SUPERBOWLS AND WON 2

"THE DALLAS COWBOYS"

Please do not tell me, that hole in the roof, does not make them a dome team. And for added knowledge, the DEFENSIVE GURU Tom Landry

Was the DEVELOPER and the FIRST to use the SHOTGUN, and Also exploited the Flea FLicker, and the Wide reciever reverse.

Roger Ran and threw, Tony Hill ran reverses, Butch Johnson, Drew Perason, and Bullet Bob Hayes, and Tony Dorsett

ALL PLAYED ON THE FAST TRACK

AND THEY HAD A "GREAT DEFENSE"

They have that big hole in the roof but the turf back then was dome like and there was really not much bad weather anyway. Heat was and still is a problem early in the season.

Yes, and there have been ice storms and others

I think the real concept of a dome team, outside of NO WEATHER ELEMENT, was the FAST TRACK ARTIFICIAL surface. The Cowboy organization was one of the first ever too have it. They used to say that it was their advantage. They did change over to PAT surface until three years ago.

Now RAMS, MINNY, and Indy are the only ones left with the OLD artifical surface. All other dome teams or art surface have the "like real grass" synthetic.

I remmber how unfair everyone thought it was to go to Dallas, because of the TRACK

I cannot remember a meaningful game at Dallas where weather was an issue

Time and time and time and time and time again we've seen these indoor teams struggle, game was basically over when you flipped on your CBS affiliate and saw the snowflakes. Atlanta not the 'typical' dome team so I give them a shot in Phily, but until Indy does so they are nothing in my book. I am a college handicapper (I get into the playoffs of NFL + NBA + NHL like everyone) so not expert - but just tuck it away in the memory to tread lightly the next time a high-flying team plays in bad weather.

I remember 20 years ago the Einsteins in Dallas put a hole in the roof and when it rained the field got wet and didn't dry well because the sun didn't get through to dry it up.

Yea it was always stained from the rain, and the SUN shined on the opposing team sidelines.

Journeyman, I guess I am mkaing points about Manning in general. He has the best WAC like offensive structure, and if you went to Indy for a playoff game, and this better defense....I think you get killed, and if Indy would have had either of thee two game at INDY....AT LEAST ONE THEY TAKE

I don;t recall the records at the time but remember the Thanksgiving Day game vs Miami when they had the ice storm and Leon Lett tried to pick up the blocked FG attempt. Cost the Cowboys a win.
