in March I will get together with glenda of the Golden Nugget and you guys will all email her your personal info to get the rooms...if its the same as last year that is

Probably a silly question, but is it possible to host it somewhere on the Strip? Not to besmirch the generosity of the Nugget, but it seems like a dump to me. Or maybe because I'm just not a big fan of downtown.

I had a blast. I was unsure about meeting alot of strangers, ;) , but it was very fun. The cost is minimal after flight depending on your gambling of course. I didn't gamble that much the 3 days I was there. I liked to drink and watch people watch me. I think everyone in attendance was polite and courteous. My biggest scare was at the nugget bar when gameface hinted about discussing Politics. I had to run for beer. I got lucky.

If you think the Nugget is a dump, then you must only stay at the Waldorf..

That hotel is about as far from a dump as it gets....

May not be as "grand" as a strip hotel, but dump is about as far from a fair description as you could make...

Not to mention, that EVERY EMPLOYEE that i came into contact with, including waiters, slot attendants, busboys, front desk, were extremely friendly...........

I wouldnt want to have it anywhere else....

Besides Fishhead can take you over to Binion's and get you a free hat....:dancefool lmfao

Any non-hired women at these things??

(I promise not to fight with Gameface if I go.)

OK, maybe not a dump, actually it's the only hotel I've been to downtown (Stefano's is a very nice restaurant) and seemed like the nicest, just not a big fan of downtown in general. That's just me.

Plus, their blackjack table rules are lousy and the casino seemed very "busy" and clustered to me.

Last time coming out west, Fish and myself spent considerable time at the GN in Laughlin. Made a nice profit on some machines. Eventually were asked to leave by the management staff. Fish threw a fit and they stated they were going to call the police. He said go ahead and dared them to do so and then i thought we were ******. Wasnt even drinking at the time. They didnt and instead just excorted to the exit. Thought we both were never allowed back on Nugget property, but guess not if Fish stayed there last year.

not a big fan of downtow either but, i probably won't go to the bash so my opinion really doesn't matter. what i do remember about downtown that is positive is that a few of the casinos had great blackjack rules and odds for craps. may have changed but, last time i was downtown the las vegas club for blackjack let you double down after 3 cards and if you took 6 cards without busting you beat the dealer no matter what. i think binions had 100x odds on craps too.
