It’s difficult to believe that Las Vegas, once dominated by all-you-can-eat buffets, steak and egg specials and 99-cent shrimp cocktails, has transformed itself to one of the world's finest culinary places.

well i know its been mentioned here before, and I havent seen anyone so excited over a piece of meat since Pam Anderson, but the prime-rib at the Nugget was the best I have ever had..

And although i'm not a rich man, i have had prime rib many times, at many places, and some very nice restaurants, but that was the best..

They must have some good chefs there for sure, their breakfast buffet as well was very good, food was fresh, and tasted good..

Lots of times at buffets, its dry, and just kinda tasteless, not there...

If the other hotels are like that, i can see why they are so good in vegas.

I now need to go to that place! No more excuses.

Here in Macau with the introduction of the Sands casino Las Vegas style food was introduced too. A novelty for many Chinese. Needless to say that that part of the casino is now losing money.

I cannot believe I forgot one of my favorite off strip places. Cappozolis on Maryland Parkway is one of the last of the Mohicans. This place is my kind of place. Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Steve and Eydie. They have all been here. A lot of stars used to go here after their shows as it was a great spot to get away from the strip and go unnoticed. The marinara is some of the best in the world.

And a few more

California Pizza Kitchen at the Mirage is always packed.

Buffets and alcoholics don't go good together. Its one or the other for the best buzz. Food will kill a good buzz and waste alot of drinking. Now, when it is time to stop drinking and eat, that is nice.
