Bet the Pats -2.5 with the lowest juice you can find between now and game time. Waiting can be risky there may be no 2.5's at all on Sunday. If you really like the Pats try to find some -2.5 -110 somewhere on Thursday, if you have no luck then bite the bullet and lay the 20 cents. What you don't want to do is find yourself in is a position to have to win the game by 4 to win the bet regardless of the juice involved. Laying or taking 3 is fine but opens you up to a significant chance to push no matter which team you play.

crazyivan,

The wise guys that I know tend to bet on the FAVORITE EARLY in the week because as a rule, the PUBLIC usually waits until Gameday to bet the game...

And, The Public tends to bet the Favorite and the Over...

Therefore, I would snag up any 2 1/2 I could find right now, because on Sunday, it is likely that this spread will be at 3 in most places...

IMO, betting the Pats at minus 2 1/2 is better than laying all that juice on the ML because 1 and 2 are considered DEAD numbers...

WOW everyone is on the Pats, STEELERS at home on championship day?? UNDERDOGS,lol. This rookies team challenges him this week against the Pats to play his best game yet. I'm going with the Steelers on the money line, waiting till game day, hopefully goes up. I usually don't bet the Steelers but this is free money. The Steelers Defense will stop Brady and company no problem.

Shrink,

Have you ever seen a team who has home field throughout the playoffs , get to the Championship game on their home turf and be an UNDERDOG??? I can't remember any?? I think the line is off by4 1/2 points as Pitt should clearly be a 2 point favorite here!!

I don't recall the first part of your question, but clearly, NEW ENGLAND DESERVES to be the FAVORITE based on a number of factors...

1-HUGE advantage at the QB position...

2-The return of Correy DILLON this time against Pitt...

3-Pitt looked awful against the Jets, NE looked GREAT against The Colts, and if you think the JETS confused Rothlisberger (which they did), what do you think a BETTER team like New ENGLAND will do to him after stymying Peyton Manning?

They haven't won 2 out of the last 3 Super Bowls by chance...

NO WAY should PITT be favored, period...

How can you say they stymied Manning. He looked like a fish out of water. Shaking from the cold and snow. No passes thrown over 20 yards. It wasn't the Pats gameplan that stymied Manning, it was the weather. If you think PITT will look awefull 2 weeks in a row, YOU ARE WRONG MR. SHRINK. I hate the Steelers but this is FREE MONEY!! Pitts defense is 100% better than Indy's and Brady will have trouble and as far as the running game goes, Dillon won't matter at all this week. GO STEELERS!!

I'd like to know how the Wizard of Foxboro is going to counteract getting blown off the ball play after play. I dont know if there's wizardry for that. Have to wait and see! I think 87.65% of the people who took the Colts last week are taking NE this week!

Believe the line may very well come off 3 at most outs on game day as most vig is currently shaded to Pittsburgh and believe that will continue. Once the number has left 3 at most outs, believe the line could move towards a pick, although most likely won't get there. Could see it stopping at around 1 or 1.5. If you like New England, recommend waiting until game day as believe the ML will drop as well, as I recall on Sunday, while the spread was 3, the ML was as low as -131. Although some might ask why consider the ML when such a small percentage of game outcomes include the spread, in this particular case weather could be the main culprit possibly keeping the teams close. If it does include snow, rain, sleet, wind, et.al., believe a 1 or 2 point game becomes more of a possibility then normal. Doesn't mean it will land there, just believe a greater possibility exists.
