I ask because if I died, I would have a bunch of money that no one would know how to get to. What would a book do if a wife calls up and says, "my husband died and I don't know his password...can I withdraw from his account.

How do the books handle this?

How do you handle this? Do all of you have someone that knows your account details?

This is what I suggest...leave instructions with someone you either trust or leave the instructions in a safe spot that will only be found IF you pass away...

I guess I was wondering more about guys that have 20k plus offshore at any given time. I only have a few dimes offshore. If I did have more, it's still probably not something I would have ever considered.

Book would keep it. Some steal an inactive balance after a year or so. They wouldn't know you croaked, and wouldn't remind you of balance.

A question I've considered many times. I play ---- wife hasn't a clue how much $$$$ is involved. This needs a solution -- for some players many thousands would be lost. Where money is involved trust is a delicate thing for whoever is left behind to untie this knot.

Maybe I'll just leave a note refering her to this site and " The General " for guidance. What do you think?

Well if I had 20k offshore I sure as hell would care if my wife could get to it... even my 2k I would care. I would much rather have my wife get it than a fvckin' sportsbook.

Posted by WoodyO.........For sportsbook withdrawals I have instructions for my computer literate son. Essentially logon, drain my sports accounts to NETeller, then drain my NETeller account to the joint bank account I hold with my wife that is joint and last survivor. This is a dedicated bank account I use for sports alone and her name on the account is so that she gets access to that money immediately. If we both go together my son will need death certificates for release from the bank. This, I believe, is the simplest way to fold your sports accounts

Looks like you have thought this through. You must have a lot of cabbage offshore!

I've got a good friend with whom we have an understanding. It's similar to what Woody says except that we don't trust our wives as much as each other! Our wives (like many women) are the type who a) can't get themselves to hide money from the government and b) can't budget themselves over a longer period -- give them any fairly large sum and it's blown rather quickly via shopping sprees and other extravagant foolishness.

So if one of us dies then the other is to transfer everything to Neteller, then via poker sites or Neteller person-to-person move the money to himself, cash out everything, and convert it into a monthly annuity in our wife's name from an offshore financial institution -- naturally taking care that big brother doesn't get wind of any of these transactions. Wife would get an ATM card which would be her only practical way of accessing the money and it would only be released in monthly installments so she could never blow it all.

I have a sealed envelope in my safety deposit box with JJ Gold's name on it. Inside includes my acc.#'s and passwords to all my offshore acc.'s. Don't worry JJ no credit accounts that you would pay just thousands you would get if I died! Bet you wish I died now huh, lol. All he has to do is call, make believe he is me and transfer most of my money to his offshore accounts. The rest he can ask for a check by Fed Ex and just deposit it to his own account. Just sign my name to the check, I won't be here to fight it,lol.

acw,

Good point. We would do everything from the proper computer. Everything in which he's supposed to be me is from my computer and everything in which he's supposed to be himself is from his own. Very important, since big brother and others who may try to steal the money would surely look into the IP addresses etc. Our wives know about our arrangement and will co-operate in giving access to computer etc.
