One of the things i like about Wagerweb is the fact that they offer a different betting "special" each week to try out.....

A couple weeks ago they had increased odds on a nfl 4-teamer for the weekend, then they have a "selected" prop each week that you can bet for 10.00, and if it loses, you get the money back (10.00 isnt alot, but just a nice gesture), and now this Saturday they are offering 20-1 odds on a 3-team pleaser, which normally pays 12-1.......

When u add that to their rebate program and 20% bonus, a good reason to give them a try....

This is from their Website........

Thanks Bucsfan....... I play their 4 point basketball pleasers often. They can be quite profitable. Much easier to hit than a football pleaser.I love this book.......

Maybe because 20-1 still isn't profitable. This amounts to +175 per leg. I wouldn't sell 4 points for 85 cents in the NBA. At least not in very many situations.

And their regular 12-1 odds it just flat out horrible. That's +135 per leg. Nobody could win long-term doing that. No way.

FWIW, 5Dimes gives 17-1.

D2, no offense, 5dimes basketball pleasers don't compare to Wagerweb's. For example, 5dimes baskteball pleasers forces you to give up A MINIMUM of 6 points, compared to Wagerweb only forcing you to give up 4. As for payoffs, look below........

5dimes
2 team 6 point Basketball pleaser: 6-1
3 team 6 point Basketball pleaser: 17-1

Wagerweb
2 team 4 point Basketball pleaser:5-1
3 team 5 point Basketball pleaser:16-1

I'd give the edge to Wagerweb based on info above........

Do you undertand what D2 is telling you here?

Each leg has to hit at approx 36% of the time to break even getting 20:1.

Even capturing shi*t NBA numbers on the sell it would be hard to garner much of an advantage selling points on sides. You're MUCH better off just shopping for 1 point off consensus and playing blind.

Hache, my bad, never play those at 5Dimes so didn't realize.

If they allow totals, that is a different animal. Might not be too bad. Just don't put sides in there.

At 3-teams 4-points 20-1 I would say that is a good deal for totals. Good luck.

The best way to approach these (both pleasers and teasers) is to calculate the average odds per leg and decide from there whether each leg is worth the odds for the number.

dkay, I understand what he was saying. But he compared 5dimes to Wagerweb and there is no comparion, that was my only point, wasn't calling him out.4 point pleasers in NBA TOTALS can be used to your advantage. 6 points I would not mess with.....
