I'm absolutely furious about the SH#T that has been going down with me online. Had a guy catch a closed straight draw on 5th st and then I had pp 5, flop comes, the guy 5K something else falls and I call. He has K-Q, turn is K and river is Q. This guy was catching cards like this the whole time. Earlier today I heard a guy talking about "board programs" that can somehow figure up the probabilities of the hands given out and what will fall on the flop. He claimed that there is a very complicated timing mechanism that the cards are on in the online games. Is any of this true, because it sure feels like it from where I'm sitting. BLAH, I'm disgusted. I think I might just stick to land based cards for now!

Bombay:

I learned my lesson last year at Party Poker for a little over 10 dimes last year. I think you are playing against the best players in the world some of who are armed with the best computer programs in the world. That is a tough combo to beat and I'm not including the colluders/cheaters.

In the end I think its the rake that eats the majority of the players

korn, I agree, I've had bad beats galore before, many times......but this circumstance seemed very different, the guy played virtually every hand like he knew what was coming up and it this guy is virtually well-known on the site I was playing, therefore, he wasnt just some dumb new guy that was getting lucky with uneducated plays. I think I'm done with online poker, or maybe I will go to the low stakes and try my luck.

some guys just dont seem to care about the stakes or the money and will play every pot hoping to catch something similar to what happened here .

its bound to happen from time to time.

i like playing the pot limit omaha games. smaller stakes and just knock guys off one at a time.

And so it goes......

I know people collude with one another via instant messaging. It's like "Tilt" except on-line.

yeah doberman, you're probably right because his plays were very educated and any great card player would make them. SMARTASS!! Please dont post in my thread if you dont have something worthwhile to say. To everyone else, Thanks!!

Don't get offended, that's just one of the possibilities.

I mean I'm a pretty good poker player, but there are many better and many more worse than me.

A good player should be constantly evaluating your play and correcting mistakes.

Trust me, the ones that whine and complain about fixed games and collusion are the same ones donating to the people who make a living off of the game.

also collusion is caught sooner then u think, either way after they split their profit if they profit its not much.

I just went back to Party after they dumped a little $$ in my account and I've had some horrific bad beats in the last couple of days. I'm of the opinion that most online Poker is on the up and up, but I've been questioning myself the last couple of days as well.

Poker is so streaky - I have had days where I catch every break and days where I swear it is rigged but i believe that the seemingly huge number of incredible hands and bad beats you observe is simply a function of playing way more hands per hour than at a regular card table....just my opinion, but I can't see them fixing the game.
