I just want to say this will probably be my last post before the game tomorrow so I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK to all the people putting their hard earned dollars and cents down on this game (and hopefully my beloved Eagles can cash a few tickets for a few people). I will say this about Atlanta: We respect you...but we don't fear you. ;)

It was a long Saturday for Scott Jenkins, Eagles vice president of stadium operations and facilities management, and his crew of about 1,000 that gathered at 10 a.m. Saturday to clear Lincoln Financial Field and the areas around it in time for Sunday's 3 p.m. kickoff against Atlanta.

Jenkins, reached on Saturday evening for an interview with PhiladelphiaEagles.com, has his staff prepared to stay around the clock to make sure the stadium area -- inside and out -- is as prepared as it can possibly be for the 68,000 or so fans who will watch the Eagles play the Falcons in the NFC Championship Game.

Here is an updated list of stadium and parking information that fans should keep in mind traveling to the stadium Sunday:

FAST FACTS:
Jenkins called the plan to clean the stadium a success. Jenkins said the snow eased Saturday evening, as predicted, and that allowed his crew to remain on top of the job. The workers are scheduled to work right on up to noon on Sunday.

A majority of the snow is being hauled away with trucks and other construction equipment. There will be some piles of snow in the parking lots, which will take away a small amount of spaces.

PennDOT and the City of Philadelphia have made it a priority to clear the areas around the South Philadelphia sports complex. The roads will still be icy and slippery. Jenkins urges all fans to take public transportation or at least carpool to reduce the amount of cars on the roads.

If you do drive to Lincoln Financial Field, the cash parking lots will not open until 8 a.m. Sunday to give plenty of time to clear as much snow as possible. The reserved lots around Lincoln Financial Field will not open until 10 a.m.

As for the seats in Lincoln Financial Field, the goal of having them cleared for game time should be accomplished, according to Jenkins.

The field conditions for Sunday's game should be good. As of 10 p.m. Saturday, the tarp covering the field was clear. Jenkins said the grounds crew will keep the tarp on the field to as close to game time as possible. If snow doesn't continue to fall after 1 p.m. Sunday, the field should be dry and in good shape.

975 shovels were set aside and used on Saturday as the snow came down from late morning until early evening. Some of the staggering numbers: There were 2,600 bags of ice-melt weighing a total of 65 tons used to clear the area.

More than 1,000 workers, including Eagles staff, helped with the process of clearing the parking lots and the stadium.

Equipment being utilized include: backhoe loaders, tri-axle dump trucks, skid steers, plow trucks, and ATV's.

The field is covered by tarp for protection and is heated to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
