Hey guys, I just had a quick question. I remember seeing this sportsmonitor.com out of Oklahoma a few years ago and hearing about how it was a legitimate monitoring service for handicappers/touts. I peeked at it yesterday and saw some guy had over a 65% winning percentage in college hoops like the last 4/5 years (Special K Sports). Is this site just full of crap and paid to post good records?

Most so called "monitors" going back to the late seventies, were infamous for "payola" aka "how good do you want your records to be?", and unless I am being slanderous or dizzy in the head, my memory seems to remember the one out of Oklahoma being the main culprit?

Others here may know better than I, as I grew up looking at smart-marks on the sheets, ones that most all tout services would've killed for to get their hands on, and rarely outside of Doc's Big-10, Klamian, Ed @ RAS, ASW,etc...putting stock in touts..

..but that yesterday!

Not sure if they do pad some services records or not.

PS- ran a sports service in the early 80's and was monitored by them for 2 years with a documented 59% winning percentage over those two years in the NBA. Did not see what i thought to be any outlandish unattainable records at the time, but that is not to say they did not pad some services records.

One would never know.

I talk to a handicapper about this one time and he said there's was some question to the legitmacy of the monitoring service. He said where these services get you is, they have five different levels of service being offered.
Ex.

Marc Lawerence Gold package, Mark Lawerence Silver plays and so on. All you need is one of the 5 different ones to get hot to bring in money.

Wayne Root brags about his record there, enough said.

He brags about his record there because he knows that people see The Sports Monitor as legitimate.

One problem, he lies about his actual record there because he knows people like you won't bother to check it.

I have records from the TSM back to 1985 and yes Root and his various services are monitored there and his record sucks.:nono5:

If TSM was crooked as you seem to imply, his record would be much better than what TSM has reported because Root would surely pay them enough to pad his record.:dancefool

Saw this after searching for this "Kevin Karr" of Special K Sports here in the forums. Seems like this guy below had some issues... I guess the sports monitor doesn't show handicappers picks even after the games? Maybe that would be too easy of a solution to a problem they don't want to fix.

For the last damn time DO NOT refer anyone to that ripoff site called sportsmonitor.com. Those are the most fictitious records you will ever see on the internet. Like an idiot, I bought into that sh*t a couple years ago thinking it was a legit site like everyone else. Low and behold the so called number one service Special K Sports was a joke to say the least. Kevin Karr, (which is not his real name by the way). His real name is Kevin Corboccio a fvckin construction worker in Clarksburg, WV. which is all he'll ever fvcking be. I'd like to hang him by his neck. Anyway, he couldn't pick his ass from a hole in the ground, but yet sportsmonitor.com kept showing him winning week after week all season long and finishing #1. My guess is the owner of the site Ruth GlasCOW gets paid a lot of money to make up those phony ass records you see on the site which are nowhere near their actual records. Stay away from these con artists. You've been warned!!

Northcoasts power play is a bunch of crap as well. I know it's difficult, but think for one moment. If Northcoast or any other Guru was that good don't you think everyone would buy there selections or just one person buy their service and post the selections on RX so nobody would ever have to post anything ever again on this site except for Northcoast picks or some other Guru. I should have listened to my own advice a couple years ago, but couldn't get anybody elses experience with the sportsmonitor so I had to try it myself. Like they say, if it's too good to be true then it probably is!

Once again, we have more misinformation.

The legit site is "Thesportsmonitor.com"

Sportsmonitor.com is trying to confuse people with the real legit site.:nono5:

If he lies about his record there, I dont really give a flyin fvk, I would never follow the goomba's picks even if "TSM" said he had a 100-0 record.
