No offense to any New York posters from here of course......

A New York City radio morning show is playing a racist and grossly insensitive parody song making fun of the Tsunami disaster and the hundreds of thousands of victims.

Go to this link & have your speakers up. Plays through Media Player....
Below is the 3rd paragraph with the song......

EDIT: the mp3 link is not working from their site anymore, but they're not gonna cover this up that easily. The fine citizens at okayplayer.com saved a copy here for evidence. Also check their discussion of the song here and here

I see no problem because it's a black radio station and they're allowed to be as racist as they want because they had to deal with slavery and all that...

Very tasteless and corny. Everyone involved with this should be fired. Wouldn't be funny to them if a earthquake hit Harlem with similiar damage and someone made a parody of that would it?

was it hot 97?

For the last week New York's Hot 97 has been running a hideously unfunny and offensive skit named the "Tsunami Song," that ridicules the victims of the Tsunami as "chinks" whose children will now be sold into child slavery. It's being played on the station's morning show, hosted by Miss Jones.

Here are some choice lyrics:
"..All at once you could hear the screaming chinks
and no one was safe from the wave
there were africans drowning, little chinamen swept away
you could hear god laughing, "swim you bitches swim"
So now you're screwed, it's the Tsunami
you better run or kiss your ass away, go find your mommy
I just saw her float by, a tree went through her head
and now the children will be sold to child slavery..."

Right hache, this black station really represents us in the tri-state area. I'm glad you let hot 97 speak for all of us. Another red state hater is all you are.
