Hey guys, wondering how you're all feeling. I know that I'm starting to freak out, as the next wager will be the biggest I've ever placed. What do you guys think the odds of us hitting 7 in a row are? I wonder if a book will set a line for us and take bets on that. Anyone feel like they can't handle these large wagers?

My usual bets are in the $500-$800 range so the next one will just be a regular bet for me. Maybe on the 6th or 7th play it will get scary for me...personally I think the 7th should be on the Super Bowl because that is the only event in which we could all still be able to line shop and not move the line too much with that level of action.

I wouldn't worry too much about it at this stage because if you are scared now, imagine how scared you will be if you get close to the money at the WSOP!? It's good training to get used to the big stakes because playing scared is not good in poker. Just think of it as the original $100 which you put aside expecting to lose. We're playing with their money after all. Don't consider it yours until you finish in the money at the WSOP. Until that point none of this cash is touchable.

My next bet will be in the thousand dollar range.

I just look at it as a $125 bet.

We don't need to win 7 in a row. We just need 4 in a row, the past is no indication of the future.

I still plan to play in a few WSOP events and satellites anyway, depending on my work schedule.

We should be very selective in our picks, hopefully they will come as easy as last night's. It would be great if you could watch every game like that with a bet on it.

BTW, I didn't even watch it. Just TiVo'ed it, fast forwarded it about 10 minutes before work. Never even had to slow down the fast forward button.

That is the way it should be treated. I know some started with $250. On the 4th, 5th, 7th bet it is still only a $250 bet.

Let it be stated that NO ONE is under ANY obligation to go all the way with this. At any time if you feel you want to back out and take your profits, go ahead and do it. It is YOUR money and you can do it as you see fit.
That being said, I hope those that said they would go all the way, will go all the way. But if you don't, and get cold feet, I understand.

I started my account with 225 so as to only need to hit 6 bets to get there. My account is between 1500-1600 currently, so the next bet will be one of my biggest. Not scared, just getting a little excited.

I mentioned in the other post that we should do some talking by e-mail, to ensure that everyone sees the proposed picks as quickly as possible. As I said in the other message I'll collect e-mails if need be, and posted my address in my profile.

I highly doubt that we will come to a consensus on a high profile event like the Superbowl, although the logic makes sense.

As a side note, if making it, I plan on entering one of the lower buyin events as a starter, unless I change my mind and go for the enchilada.

I started with 250, so my bet was just under a grand last night, plus I put 250 on it for myself. Just starting to get butterflies, cause it's not as much of a long shot as it once was. A 4-team parlay is much easier than a 7-teamer.

I started risking 260, and on the next play I will be risking 1943. I view it as losing 260 bucks. I will keep pulling the trigger without hesitation as long as my team does.

Understand a few of you are getting cold feet.

Some advice, pull back your original bet. Now you lose nothing and go with the rest, consider it a free roll.
