well coach lots of things. For starters players bet much more with locals primarily because its on credit also they can negoitiate on settle day and pay with plans. i believe the amount wagered as well as the combination such as round robins, teasers, and parlays are bet more with locals. coach i may be tottaly off and be underestimating the offshore idustry but i just dont see the average player sending so much cash there if these are the same losers that cant pay there local..

A large local book in LA,known as "The Kingpin" who I worked for a number of years running his "Back Office" would get rid of any sharp sports betters by passing them on to a book that would handle anyone's action.He did very well and is presently involved offshore.
I still bet with a local in LA even though I live in LV as he always nudges his line up on favorites and I usually bet dogs in football.

no locals have reduced juice. that is the biggest difference and most important. They often do not even had a money line on a key number like 3 or 7 it is just -110 either way.
is it more that off shore the books will shift the money line on a point spread only to intice play the other way to even out their books creating some good overlays for the better when the off shore book is just changing things to even out the action. A local not sophisticated enough to do that. Pinny does that all the time and you can get some +102, or +104 for no good reason other than Pinny offering it for a short time to even out the -110 action.
