My father in law is looking for a seperate unit to burn CD's....
He doesn't want it on the computer (he has one already, hates to use it on that, too slow, and he refuses to get rid of his dialup connection)

Is something offered as a seperate unit where he can do this?

Thanks guys.

although its ruining the business that I am in, you can buy cd burners for your stereo. I use an older Marantz CDR 630 that I love. Runs in real time.
not sure if you can still buy them but check www.crutchfield.com .

the newer ones are high speed but also have more problems reading older cd's that are scuffed or what not. The marantz I use records only in Real Time (1x). I have seen them up to 64x.
