shoots 59 a few years back on sunday to win the bob hope.

shoots 82 on the same course yesterday in the opening round.

i guess he can relate to U2's song Vertigo having gone through it.

" i'm at a place called vertigo , it's everything i wish i didnt know "

hope he finds his game again. he is one of the good guys.

he lost his game when he lost all that weight and became rail thin... last time I saw him he looked as though he was starting to put some weight back on..

it's all mental now..

Very sad to see DD - remember the bob hope is one of the easiest tournaments in terms of scoring so what DD would shoot at a carnoustie or US open course?

Really feel for him - as you said he is one of those good guys.

I believe he had some back problems and never recovered...I agree it may be mental now, combine that with a lingering injury and its a recipe for disaster. He was always an outsider from a media stand point..no personality. I really don't miss him that much. I like Phil Mickelson. V-Jay can KMA after dissing Sorenstam.

he had several injuries. he was so focused during his run that he got a bad rap for not being very outgoing.

he has lightened up quite a bit and is very popular amongst other players.

the networks should have him in the booth every once in a while if he would do it. he did it once and ws pretty good.

he is really into his new family and golf is secondary but he does want to get back to some sort of his former self.

My roomamte used to work with is exgirlfriend/fiance'. I know him a little bit.

He went to hell when she dumped him. It basically blew his mind.

He wasn't pro very long when he did all the stuff he did. Maybe pro two years. it just happened real fast for him. So the massive spiral is not a surprise.

Especially when the person that left you was with you BEFORE the fame and the money. If a person leaves you AFTER you have garnered the success, that can really blow your mind.

People might think fame and fortune can cure all things. But love is a pretty strange thing when someone actually feels it.

Yes love can be a *****. He needs to shake it off and start eating a bunch of Mcdonalds and he will be okay.

Both excellent post and I hope he comes back...he seems to hide behind the Oakleys too much I think he is camera shy and as far as love goes I was devestated many years ago by a girl but I am here today. G

13 over on one of the easiest courses around. DD should give up now and stop embarrassing himself and his family & friends. If he is able to make a comeback surely he should be able to shoot par in practice which there is non feasible way given the wy he is playing - surely he is undermining his own confidence by playing on tour and shooting such ridiculous scores.

maybe he and ian baker finch should go and play some 2 man best ball events and see if they can break 80 as a team.

feel very bad for duval. i am still a fan of his.

finch got so bad after his stint as # 1 that he once hit a tee shot out of bounds on a hole with a 100 yard wide fairway..
