Of course they should not be, as KRACKMAN and myself stated earlier in the week, tails will come up more often,

Thus, it is the advantage of the person calling heads or tails to obviously choose TAILS.

Anybody willing to wager on the HEADS being called?

But the prop you show from Pinnacle is showing that they believe Heads to be favourite, ie -174. Even though you were going on about tails being more common.

I assume it is just the physcological preference of people to choose heads, over tails making this line.

They don't use your ordinary quarter to flip so you're not going to have more tails than heads based on what you said earlier.

Something is worded wrong here...

According to that Prop, if you think he will choose TAILS you say NO @ +155...

i played heads (this is a $100 max prop by the way). No way on gods green earth that Pinny would offer up a seemingly 50-50 prop at this juice. no chance.

my guess is that the captains for these teams have both called heads in road games every game this year period. this is a 100% lock winner on heads to be called.

The reason they are instructed to call tails is because the head side of the coin is heavier than the tail side of the coin. Sounds crazy, but it's true.

Hope everyone played tails. You can now buy back and forget about what the captain calls.

Sun 2/6 Will the captain that picks coin toss choose heads

It's not crazy ! As a numismatist the "heads" ( obverse) side of the coin ( medallion), in this case has greater " relief" ( more raised area), than the "tails" ( reverse). If like a coin ( die-struck, not cast), The dies used are a mirror image of the design ( but incused). More metal will flow into the side with more space ( design elements) as the blank ( planchet) is struck. If such a piece were precisely cut thru the rim at the center, the obverse would weigh more, thus making that side more likely to land down.

The most "top" heavy US coin I can think of is the 1921 Peace dollar. The relief is so high on the obverse that the coins couldn't be stacked very high, this resulted in the design being modified in 1922.

So if you want a good tails coin get a 1921 Peace dollar, should cost about $75 in circulated condition. I'll try to find an image.

How do they determine which captain calls the coin toss ? Do they flip a coin ( medallion) for that ? I never paid any attention to it before.

I'm guessing the visiting team gets to choose. That leads to the question, how do they determine who is the visiting team in the Super Bowl?
