I think the exact opposite is true. If you DO NOT win money betting sports, then you are doing something wrong.
With so many books and so many offering reduced juice and moving lines like they do how can you not win money?
Also since some books are so sharp (no names mentioned) guys that always makes these claims about them should have figured out how they shade lines and go fromthere.
This can go along wiht the so called sharp money moves. If these things are so accurateand guys say they are evryday on here and not following them is a losing prop long term, then why aren't people following them?
The greatest irony on this board or any other board is that "everyone' is an expert, and we all know everything. Well if that is the case then why doesn't everyone's post say 'I MAKE MONEY EVERY YEAR'?
The truth is not many people do make money. But only because they have flaws intheir thinking, not with picking winners. But again everyone knows what they are doig and they have fun doing it I guess.
I used to bet a lot, and I lost a lot. But it only took about 3 yeras to figure out how to do it without losing. I haven't lost money gambling in almost 10 yars now. it was my ONLY source of income for about 8 of those years. This year was the first in since 96 when I didn't do it "full time". I still made money in baseball just fooling around here and there. I am also up in NCAA hoops so far as well. Football is the sucker sport, but I will be up in that, not by all that much when the year is done. But enough to say I made a profit. Since it is so hard to get angles on, it is hard to win money at consistantly.
But anyone with foresight, some money management skills, a little self control, and the ability to treat it like it is nothing can make money consistantly gambling.
Most people want to brag or talk about their record, or how much they have bet onthis game or that game. When in truth they are probably buried up to their eyeballs in debt.
I may not know everything, and I may say or suggest somethings on here that people laugh at, or think are crazy. All I can say is that they work for me, and by following those principles I make money year in and year out.
But because I do not post plays on a daily basis or do not get into the whole macho bravado, I am just a guy whose p[osts are too long to read, and are full of crazy talk anyways.
But I like it like that sometimes. Because if no one does what I do, then I can still take advantage of it. If EVERYONE did what I did, then those angles and advantages wouold be lost.
One final point. You do not need to bonus whore either. I do not think I have EVER gotten a bonus from a sportsbook in my life. So that isn't necessary. But it is a viable angle if you can do what most places require to fulfill it, and do not mind keeping your money in some of those places.
