NJ Nets 10-1 (WWTS) to win the Atlantic Diivison...

Don't look now, but the rumors of this team's demise may be premature. Vince Carter and Jason Kidd now both seem healthy and have their legs under them. And they're learning to play together. It may not have been against the best teams, but .400 teams don't reel off 3 road wins in a row. This team is better than that.

As for now, NJ is in 4th BUT they are all of 3.0 games behind 1st place Boston at 21-23. Yikes. The Celtics, Sixers and Knicks stand in their way and I just don't see any of those teams running away with it. Winning the division by 3 games in the final 34 doesn't seem like that much of a longshot to me. Wild guess maybe around 30%.

No question to me better than 9%.

100-1 to win the East seems worth consideration too.

Great spot! I just went in on Nets to win division. How can they have Knicks at +280 and Celts at +300 an Nets still at +1000. Love the value on Nets.
May take a little on them win Conference also, though I can't see any one supplanting the Pistons. But, at 100-1 its worth a shot as injuries and othe runforesen things can always happen. Thanks for tip.

May not be that bad a play. Still being in 4th place, half game up on 5th place, makes it tough, but the odds are good. I think the Sixers will get the spot, they finally are getting some scoring from other guys than AI and I think Iguodala will get better as the year goes on. Nets have the two solid players, but thanks to the trades and the injury to RJ they have no prayer elsewhere. Boy that bench is atrocious, they are like the Suns just hoping and praying no starters get hurt.

You must be well-respected in the gambling community. I checked WWTS today(after I put the Nets in last night) and see that the price has dropped from +1000 to +700 on division and from 100-1 to 40-1 for conference! I know it wasn't my bets (fairly small) that did it. :suomi:

Could be. The maximums weren't that high, so that's what I played.

Also liking my Nets -1.5 against the Bulls tonight. This team is going to make a run in the next couple weeks. Kidd/Carter are capable of putting up a lot of W's.

Didn't win the division as Boston finished strong, but 100-1 to win East is a good value. NJ is dangerous.

I believe they went 26-14 since I posted this Feb. 2.
