And, isn't it against the Wire Act to use the phone to place bets? My understanding is that using the internet is not quite illegal (gray area) because of the loophole that the internet isn't a telephone line.

Happens to be my internet access is on the phone line (ADSL) so it's 100%. Use voice to confirm if I suspect a bad line or about 0.1%.

i'd say about 10% phone, 90% internet. Phone is only needed when away from home or a PC. And the better lines from Pinnacle online rather than on the phone are a factor too.

But i HAVE to call in IF wagers at Pinnacle, no idea why those aren't available online... I usually do IF wagers 4 or 5 times a week.

Tough question. I know all the originators most phone in. the wiseguys can bet alot more over the phone. I would say 15% phone in.

Offshore, not many anymore. I used to call in everything, but now I try not to. In fact I took all numbers out of my phones now as I was finding myself calling in bets from bars after I was three sheets to the wind. When I am drunk my limits go through the roof!! Biggest bet I have lost in 2 years was the Roy Jones/ Tarver fight. Planned on betting it small, but I was bombed leaving a hockey game or indoor football game and I bet my whole acct at 2 places. Next day all numbers got deleted from the phone!
