Lets hear about the really bad ones we were dumb enough to send money too.

I'll start off. I really have 2.

1) WorldWager- Horrible. Thank God I didnt win there. I deposited $500 I think and lost it. Deposited another $500 and had it up to about $1000. Tried to withdraw $500. Took them about 45 days to pay me. I was lucky, they have these forums there which were filled with people complaining about horrific slow bordering on no pays. Right at their own site, thread after thread about slow pays! People were waiting 3 months trying to get like 8 grand and being lied too. I couldnt get $500 out of them, I cant imagine how screwed you are if your trying to get 8 grand. Good luck buddy.

Why I got myself involved with this book I dont remember. I eventually managed to get out, if I had actually beat them out of any money, who knows? I guess I would have been one of the people waiting 3 months for payment of a couple dimes and beng lied too and stalled the whole time. Fun, fun, fun.

1A) Crown XO- I remember why I deposited there. They had college basketball lines that could be like 3 points off. They just were not moving their lines when others were. Sent them $500 and rolled it up to $1800 pretty quicky. Had gone down to $1150 in there when I asked for $500.

I knew from the first phone call for payment I was dealing with a mickey mouse operation. This place was probably started by one guy with a 5,000 bankroll ( borrowed off a credit card) who figured you cant lose being the house and he could just rake it in.

Somehow, God knows how, I actually did get one $500 payout eventually ( My deposit ), but they would never send another cent. They went under after about 3 months of me trying to collect the $800 or so I had left there, which I never got.

The only two books ever to stiff me, there have been some close calls though, are this Crown joke shop and Aces Gold ( Only had about $680 left at Aces, could have been a lot worse).

I actually like WorldWager less than Crown XO. WW didnt stiff me, but Crown was so obviously not a real book and running on fumes that I knew I was in deep trouble after my first payout call to them. I was glad to get $500 out and resigned myself that it was very unlikely I could get any more.

WW is still out there. I wouldnt send them another penny for any reason.

stiff books :sad3:

s-l-o-w pays :sad3:

not even close...esb

stiff book. constant lies. even when they were paying players they sucked. clerks sucked and were rude. i remember that they wouldn't let you make a bet if you didn't know your total when you called. imagine calling up on a saturday afternoon in march after making bets in the morning...you have no idea what your total is.

Good thread.

I think OASIS. I won like my first 3 or 4 bets and they slashed my online limits and made me call in, all before I had a chance to rollover the bonus whcih they took away. I've had my limits reduced before, but never after a few wagers.

Excuse my ignorance but - what exactly are "shadow moves"? This made me laugh out loud.

First of all they charged me 200 bucks just to sign up, can you imagine that. We are always talking about signup bonuses these days, but back then they charged you for the previlege of getting stiffed. They paid the first few years, but then it was bad checks, and then they would not pay at all.

no lie- I was just looking at e-mail. WorldWager is offering me a 40% bonus if I deposit for the superbowl thru neteller today.

I'm dumb, but I'm not dumb enough to say yes to this.

makes you wonder doesn't it? they chg'd for an account, dealt -110, and still could not make enough money to pay winners. talk about horrible management...

blue,

that thing about not taking bets unless you knew your total is pretty damn funny.

so is Fishheads " Shadow moves."

Shadow moves would make a good nickname for fishhead or a good posting name. what it is we dont know, but it sounds pretty official and like a wise guy.

Thats precisely what I asked Rich.......what the hell is a SHADOW move?

He replied with a question of his own....."Why are you using an offshore account if you live in Vegas?".

I said I go out of town alot.

He then replied...."You know damn well what a shadow move is and I am taking your 10% bonus away.

To which I replied......"Fine, just send me back my balance, you obviously have no idea how to run a business".

Yahoops , Ido in a class by himself...ignorant prick, but I did get paid eventually, i think Shrink helped me actually...

BetMega , Craig from Betmega was quite a talker, he told me he was offended personally I wanted to withdrawal all my money, when in reality he had no money to pay me, I found that out a couple hours later...
