Here is my reply in Sherwood´s College hoops thread. I wanted to post it here so we don´t have to read this "bad call" nonsense ever again.

Very tired of hearing this crap over and over again. Just because a pick is a miss doesn´t mean it was a bad call. If you have a huge 60% chanse to make it you still miss it 4 times out of 10. Even when you look at the game/stats you can´t say if something is a bad call. There is usually a very real possibility that either team has a bad day (bad shooting, not showing up etc.) Only a long time record tells if somebody is a good capper or not so good.

It is precisely why so many in this business never last over 5 years.

SUCCESSFUL gambling is a marathon, not a sprint.

MANY gamblers, especially sportsbettors and poker players, never knew anything about gambling before the advent of the computor and now many think they are experts when in reality they know very little about what it takes to become successful in this BUSINESS.
